I'm doing ok. I've got a cold going on, not fun, but it could be much worth. My morning has been good though, I got to chat with a special friend! :D

Ok, pictures aren't happening tonight, long story. Let's just say I'm having issues.

BUT instead of a picture, I want to pick your brains. Those of you that have been around my thread for a while, know that I love to read, and will remember me asking this question.

What are your all time favorite books and what book(s) do you think that everyone should read?

I'm working on my 2012 reading list and putting some books on there that I've been putting off reading. I'm looking for more suggestions as well.

1984, THe Hobbit/Lord of the Rings series (I consider them 1 book), & almost anything by Stephen King.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I actually bought 1984 a while back, and haven't read it yet. I should try rereading the Hobbit; I tried to read it in high school and couldn't get into it! Thanks again!

Here's my personal Top Ten List:

  1. A Canticle for Liebowitz by Walter M. Miller, Jr.
  2. The Winds of War/War and Remembrance by Herman Wouk
  3. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee
  4. The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money, and Power by Daniel Yergin
  5. The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
  6. The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen
  7. Gotham: A History of New York City to 1898 by Edwin G. Burrows and Mike Wallace
  8. All the President's Men by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward
  9. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon
  10. Maus by Art Spiegelman
I realize a lot of these may not be your cup of tea, but these would be my "desert island" books.
