I need some help from you techies out there. I am trying to make a short 30 second video that I can email to someone, but the size of the file is way too big. What can I do to shrink it down under 2 MB's... is it something can do??? Let me know... I really need help with this and fast too! Thanks for all the help in advance!

30 secs

Squeezing 30 seconds of large frame video down to 2 Mb seems like wishfull thinking. You may be able to hit that target, yet the results wont be very pleasing, from a visual sense.

However, your best bet might be Videomatch. It is a clever program for translating video from one format to another. Its quirky interface can be daunting. But, it is free, it is able to translate almost any video from one codec to another. Some of the choices offered just might get you close to your very skimpy size limit.

Good luck !

Are there any other ways of sending the video?? Other than email, because I knwo email has the limits. I wasn't sure if something that big would work on an instant messenger... but I'll try that website you gave me.

There are a couple of options:

First, you can "Zip" the file with a file archiveing and compression programlike Winzip (or Win ME and later Compressed folders function which is WinZip compatible.)

Second, you can find a service that allows large attachments -- I think it's called WhaleMail. You send the file to Whalemail and a link to to the recipient.
