Alaska, Wyoming and Montana have always been 'dream escape' states for me. *sigh* Maybe someday before I'm old and sagging I will visit them.au_man said:Well travled HH...
I've never been farther east than Colorado but have been all over the west. From Alaska to Mexico and every state except Wyoming and Montana.

And you never know what we could use the candles and melted butter for later on![]()
Hehehe... Now your talk'n.*PURRING* did you say tittilating????au_man said:Hehehe... Now your talk'n.
I never have a side dish... Just crab legs and plain sourdough rolls of baggets sliced... Too good to fill up on salad...
Now dessert is another issue and it would be refreshing to have something more tittilating than a Klondike bar.

great sledding!! used to walk into town and get an ice cream with chocolate sprinkles after dinner.... helped the inner body temp to equal the outer body temp and you didn't feel the cold as much.HisHarlot said:i was born and raised back east. i can remember it snowing one year on halloween and then snowed each week for the next three weeks. by thanksgiving, we were knee deep in show.great sledding!! used to walk into town and get an ice cream with chocolate sprinkles after dinner.... helped the inner body temp to equal the outer body temp and you didn't feel the cold as much.
I had a white Christmas when I was 17, it unexpectedly snowed here in MS that December. We had a beautiful 6 inch blanket on the ground.au_man said:I have never lived where it snowed.
I know what it is but usually admire it from afar.
When retirement comes around that will probably change.
I would enjoy a white Christmas at least once in my life.

It precipitates 'snow' here almost every year ... but it's not REAL snow![]()
LOL .... does it make time stand still? We're talking, cities shut down for more than 4 flakes on the ground here.au_man said:I've experienced snow falling... Yes, even in SoCal...![]()

I'm becoming wistful now *sigh*HisHarlot said:had white christmases almost every year that i can remember - except for 5, maybe 6 years. i've seen it start snowing, the small little flakes, and then in 10 minutes, you can't see across the street and the streets are already icy. the schools close before lunch, and those that drove into the city and had to cross the potomac bridge, were urged to head home.
it's lovely. something right off a currier and ives christmas card.

Christmas is coming.
Hey ... does anyone want my Christmas list?? I KNOW y'all want to get me something![]()
I'm excited this year. We have the perfect house for decorating. The fireplace with mantle, the big picture windown to set the tree in front of ... I have high hopes that this will be a WONDERFUL Christmas for our family.HisHarlot said:sure... send me you list. i'm sure i'll find something that you would like.
'christmas is coming

i don't think i'll be having christmas this year. i wasn't in the spirit for it last year, i didn't even put up a tree. went to dinner with friends on christmas eve... and to a movie christmas night. that was it.

I have to have a real tree too...
Even if the only presents were for my old cat...![]()

i have a 6' pre-lit that i put up in '04... but just couldn't tackle it alone last year, so i didn't.
i give my little fella presents every day. he's the sweetest li'l thing... don't know what i'd do without him.
