Some of the best Alaskan King crab legs. I have had some that weighed well over a pound each.

One of my favorite dinners... :D :p :D *Drooling*
Hehehe ... I think we could cozy up nicely to a romantic dinner, don't you?

And you never know what we could use the candles and melted butter for later on

I couldn't say, Keiffers .... I've never seen yours. But given my medical experience and knowledge .. I would say that if you are a normal male with a complete set of hormones ... the YES.

Well travled HH...

I've never been farther east than Colorado but have been all over the west. From Alaska to Mexico and every state except Wyoming and Montana.

Alaska, Wyoming and Montana have always been 'dream escape' states for me. *sigh* Maybe someday before I'm old and sagging I will visit them.

 Hehehe... Now your talk'n.

I never have a side dish... Just crab legs and plain sourdough rolls of baggets sliced... Too good to fill up on salad...

Now dessert is another issue and it would be refreshing to have something more tittilating than a Klondike bar.

*PURRING* did you say tittilating????

Sounds like a wonderful dessert in and of itself

I'm grasping a very romantic mental image ... and I'm a sucker for true romance :)

it was :) there was a bunch of us from mass that went to kennebunk for the wedding of some friends. had ppl come down from further north in maine and some from nh.

the best man (the bride's brother) worked at a local motel there and reserved the entire two story section for the out-of-town guests. we all used to belong to the same yahoo chat room and had frequent chat-get-togethers.

i can remember the sun had crested the horizon... but hadn't peaked the pine trees yet... and there was a grove of them off to the east of the motel and behind it. the one i was with, woke up before i did... he let me sleep in ;) ... and went down and brought back coffee for the both of us and wrapped me in the chenelle bed spread and told me to cover my eyes as he led me to the balcony overlooking the pool. he placed his chin on my right shoulder and his arms were placed on either side of me, against the railing.

there was a cold wind and i guess it was maybe about 36º at that point. then we all went out to breakfast and over to the lighthouse warehouse off rt.1. Then about 1pm he had to head back to nh cause he had to teach school in the morning. *sigh*

i was born and raised back east. i can remember it snowing one year on halloween and then snowed each week for the next three weeks. by thanksgiving, we were knee deep in show. :D great sledding!! used to walk into town and get an ice cream with chocolate sprinkles after dinner.... helped the inner body temp to equal the outer body temp and you didn't feel the cold as much.

I have never lived where it snowed.

I know what it is but usually admire it from afar.

When retirement comes around that will probably change.

I would enjoy a white Christmas at least once in my life.

I had a white Christmas when I was 17, it unexpectedly snowed here in MS that December. We had a beautiful 6 inch blanket on the ground.

It precipitates 'snow' here almost every year ... but it's not REAL snow

had white christmases almost every year that i can remember - except for 5, maybe 6 years. i've seen it start snowing, the small little flakes, and then in 10 minutes, you can't see across the street and the streets are already icy. the schools close before lunch, and those that drove into the city and had to cross the potomac bridge, were urged to head home.

it's lovely. something right off a currier and ives christmas card.

'christmas is coming
the goose is getting fat.
please put a penny
in the old man's hat."

i don't think i'll be having christmas this year. i wasn't in the spirit for it last year, i didn't even put up a tree. went to dinner with friends on christmas eve... and to a movie christmas night. that was it.

I'm excited this year. We have the perfect house for decorating. The fireplace with mantle, the big picture windown to set the tree in front of ... I have high hopes that this will be a WONDERFUL Christmas for our family.

So far, my list only has one serious item on it ... geez, I need to get busy 'wanting' don't I?

I don't have kids, but can't escape the "Spirit of Christmas" or Halloween either...

I have to have a real tree too...

Even if the only presents were for my old cat... ;)

the only thing i do, without fail, is put my celtic christmas cd's and my mannheim steamroller cd's into the cd player.

i have a 6' pre-lit that i put up in '04... but just couldn't tackle it alone last year, so i didn't.

i give my little fella presents every day. he's the sweetest li'l thing... don't know what i'd do without him.

I just wanted to stop in and say hello to you all. I have been reading your comments about Christmas, some of my best ones were when we were on the road, and I could sit by my window and watch the snow falling.....

Don't get much snow now that I am back home in louisiana....lol

Have a pleasant evening everyone. :rose:

Well, that's not too bad then darlin... ;)

I'm sorry that didn't come across as intended... :rose:

I suppose I need to get to know you a bit better before I come off so presumptuous.

I hope you will forgive me...
