Most Americans would see that as a GOOD development. Divide et impera.
They will whine at the gas pumps, though.

“ European drivers face paying an extra €220 (£190) a year at the pumps because of the surge in oil prices caused by the war in Iran, analysts have warned. In the UK, a separate estimate puts the cost at an extra £140.Trump says war is won but ‘we don’t want to leave early’ as oil prices rise again

We may hope it won't last as long as any of THOSE!
$1bn a week for the military
You’re all gonna have an affordabilitynessIt’s $1 billion a day for the military
It’s $1 billion a day for the military
You really need to STOP viewing politics through the lens of popular fiction.thats almost how much that dr evil aka doug powers wanted in his ransom money
Engagement. Nothing now being sent over appears intended to soften them up for the real assault. What is it some of you expect from a confrontation with a serious military power?

Tehran, PRESUMABLY.The real assault on where ?
There are no nuclear weapons in Iran. What is it some of you expect from a confrontation with a serious military power?
Are you all so fucking lazy and lacking in attention span to find some perspective.
When Iraq had to be confronted in 1991 it took six weeks of bombing to soften them up at the front line with B52s, punch holes in their radar/sam defences, dismantle their capacity to command forces and chase away their air force. Multiple coalition aircraft were lost. And then the vaunted Iraqi army were smashed the fuck out of in 100 hours.
At this point, 2 weeks in, Iran has lost its senior leadership in a stroke, couldn’t defend its skies from a Flying Fortress such is the state of its billions of ‘cutting edge’ Chinese and Russian air defences, has lost its navy and its ballistic missile threat is in tatters.
Dealing with the Straits was always the harder part of this mission, but don’t count on Iran mining it at scale because - in shutting down their own oil - they’ll be eating grass in no time if that happens.
We’ll see how brave the IRGC and its ’fast attack’ swarms are when they’re running the gauntlet of Apache helicopters.
And how well the thugs on mopeds stick to their tactics when the young women of Tehran who want to wear their hair down can call in an air strike on the bastards.

A sustained oil price of $100 a barrel, the level seen on Monday, would mean motorists in the EU paying €55bn more over a year, researchers at the Transport & Environment (T&E) thinktank estimated. That is the equivalent of an average of €220 for each driver, with higher-mileage drivers facing even bigger hikes. The assessment was made by comparing data from 2022, when Russia’s invasion of Ukraine pushed the oil price to the $100 mark, with data from 2017-2019.”
Guardian.
If this goes on everyone will be whining about prices. $1bn a week for the military, €1bn a week for European motorists. Any estimates for American drivers?
Asia will be desperate for oil and will be driven into recession, Russia will be welcomed back into the international fold as sanctions on their oil/gas are relaxed.
And still no definitive justification for any of it, or even a reason the protagonists can agree on.
That’s all just two weeks in, and just the economic devastation. Geopolitically will the world find Khamenei jnr easier to deal with having lost his father and wife?
And thats before the morality of bombing schools and civilians is considered. Even by his own standards this is disastrous and futile behaviour by trump that will set the world back, will anyone anywhere feel or be safer?
Europe as a cohesive equal partnership is more important than ever. The oil prices are becoming ridiculous.
Good thing that Europe is speeding up the transit to green energy. As it is right now, we have been forced to release a substantial amount of emergency oil.

We need to become independent in our critical infrastructure, and having enough energy is the key.
(And we need to detangle ourselves from the American monopol on tech!)
Next: Geopolitical environment.
Oh gosh, where to start?
Who in their right mind will trust the USA and Israel for the next foreseeable future?
Even when a time comes for the administrations and governments to shift, who will trust a country that blindly followed their leader's orders, bombing schools, civilians, hospitals, health workers, journalists.. and the list goes on.
Countries who starts wars without lawful reasons, who does not want to follow international laws and rules.
Those countries might change their presidents, governments and administrations.
But the people will still follow the words of their leaders.
That is how the rest of the world thinks.
Europe as a cohesive equal partnership is more important than ever.
Within, we need to get our own house in order first. With who?
Internally, yup! The EU works.
With India? Yes, sir!

With the US?
.....
Within, we need to get our own house in order first.
Yes yes yes absolutely.Yes!!
We need our critical infrastructure up to date.
We need to become self-sufficient in more areas: The British BAE systems are looking mighty interesting right now.
We need the power/energy to flow more freely, which means that Germany needs to step up and get their power grids up to date!
It is frustrating that all the surplus energy, produced in the North gets lost.. When the South is so desperately needing it.. just because the electrical grid in Germany is outdated with decades.
You are right. We need to get our own house in order.
And then we can worry about the rest of the world.
There are no nuclear weapons in Iran.
Iran has no serious possibility of developing nuclear weapons in the foreseeable future.
Jared Kushner (offspring of Holocaust Survivors) told his father-in-law to attack Iran because they support Gaza against Israel's genocide, Trump saw the benefit of using other people's sons to deflect from the Trumpstein Files and to cancel future elections.
Iran has no chance of defeating the US (or vice versa), their defense is to disrupt the global oil trade. Their strategy is to reveal Trump for the grifter mobster that he is and hope that he will have to face the electorate at some point.
Iraq couldn't defeat Iran and neither will the US (which was defeated by Vietnam, Afghanistan, Cuba, North Korea, etc). Iraq is considerably smaller than Iran and that took a coalition of the US and several other countries to overwhelm.
In the meantime, Trump is saying that he'll decide when he's won his war when his joints are aching.
Every bit of that is the truth, you idiot, including the thing about Trump's aching joints. What a lot of fucking bullshit.
But that’s classic you, so carry on.
