SMT Hope a little flogging helped. I know I'm sore. What ya got in that closet that can stretch me out and warm up my shoulders and hips?

Funny, The wife wanted me to take the toolbox outside yesterday, she said it was too big, but after I demonstrated why is should be inside she fit it in and was happy.

About a dozen floggers, a bamboo cane or two, 2 cricket bats (1 is a junior size, the other regulation), a repurposed newspaper stick, a steel-plated thumper, ankle & wrist cuffs, and much more! Planning on picking up some paddles and spreader bars, soon!

I did turkey legs and chicken wings on the grill the other night. Does that count? Is it any coincidence that Canada's Thanksgiving is on the last weekend of Octoberfest?

I hope you all enjoyed. Sounds like a lot of work and good eating.

It went pretty smooth. I think the local legion is having a Octoberfest evening next Saturday night. I will have to check it out.

I remember the Mighty Mo (my mother) cooking a turkey one christmas that was completely covered in what looked like a mud pack of herbs and spices. It was so goooooooooood! Really tender and tasty.

The recipe was out of some traditional recipe book. On the opposite page was a recipe for preparing and cooking a monkey! She covered that page whenever she read the recipe.

I have seen that recipe done on Food Network along time ago. Supposed to produce a very moist turkey.

I season under the skin and then on top of the skin. Then I cook it breast down with strips of Bacon across the top. Some say deep frying a turkey is the best, but I am not much of a fan.

Too late. Family got those on Feast Day. I made turkey stock out of the carcus then soupt for supper. Added carrots, celery, onion and garlic. Added some rice about twenty minutes before it was done. Yum.
