The oasis looks pretty nice. In reference to the non-drivers, I'm from the Midwest and live in the South east. These people loose their ever lovin minds when there is even a report of ice or snow!!! They react the same way as if it is a Hurricane. Kids lost two weeks of school once for about an inch of snow and temps in the 20's.

Think I'll subscribe here and see what pops up.

It's interesting how different areas ofthe county react to the weather. Growing up in the desert, I only had one day off from school due to weather no matter the temperature, hot or cold. That day was because we had so much rain all the bridges washed out and lots of people were stranded.
