Most of that comes from working with phony people who liked to hug. When I told them not to touch me that made them try harder. Eventually the principal had to talk to them about respecting my space.

And you are right. A person's space must be respected. When I read just a short time ago you didn't care for them, I stopped hugging you. We are all different and that is what makes this site fun.

I do hug my former students. It would hurt their feelings not to.

One year during the 8th grade promotion ceremony the kids in my homeroom decided they would all hug me when they returned to their seats. We were the 9th of 10 homerooms to get their certificates and no class had hugged their advisor. Parents, some that didn't even know me, told me later that it had them in tears.

I think it's cold almost everywhere. Maybe that's why so many people have been on LIT lately. I went for a walk yesterday in the frigid temperature, but not today.
