Sighs... I don't go at it like it was done in my youth but I still do some things. Like ALL of the bedding. EG mattress pad, bedspread those things that don't get done every week. Just stuff like that. There is more I should do, but we will see... :rolleyes:

I had my bedspread, shams and bedskirt cleaned in October. I'll wash the mattress pad when I take it off. I have one of those heated ones and it's not time to trust MN.

Today we had flood, tornado and thuderstorm warnings!

I'm making slow progress on my spring cleaning, shamefully it's spring 2007.
 
You know I'm strange so no surprise. You have a lot of great qualities or maybe we're both strange.

I think I'm going to attempt to write a sentence or two, I know the scene and where the story is heading but I just can't get inside her head.

It's bugging me.

I know what you mean. I finally worked out a troubling part in the story I'm working on.
 
How did you do it? I don't think I'm unmotivated or uninterested but I wrote on sentence this morning and have been fussing with it all day. I feel like someone needs to smack me upside the head.

I thought about all my options. Then I wrote several of them but they didn't work. I'm at the 30,000 word mark and my characters have had the hots for each other for a long time, but haven't made it to a bed. The point where it was about to boil over they're out camping.
 
I haven't considered other options since I'm moving along but maybe I'm having second thoughts about her current behavior. It's going to be multi-chapters and I'm on 3 or 4 -- another issue, chapter breaks.

If I leave Ch1 as is it's about 7K, Ch2 is around 4K and that covered a day and a half. I think I have a natural chapter break leaving #1 at 7K but then I start wondering if I break here or there maybe...

I'm driving myself nuts!

Have you tried writing without thinking of chapter breaks?
 
I generally do, yes. My usual method is to use a very loose outline and then let the characters write the story. I have done a multi-chpt before but it wasn't cohesive, this one is different.

I think I'll just lighten up and let the senses be the guide.

Yes, that's my intent for starters. Maybe if things go well I'll pull it for submission elsewhere.

Good morning {{{{{{DGO}}}}}} We had so much of that yesterday too. The wild stuff appears to be gone here for today. Just cold, damp and windy. Is it ever safe to trust MN?
