Flood watches everywhere. What a crazy year!
I hate to see what happens when we get all of the snow melt from up north.

Nothing exciting. My niece and nephew will visit. Oh, and my muse has returned so I'll do some writing.
You?
I've thought about that, but just wasn't ready to let someone else pick the fresh stuff. Glad to hear that the system works. Do you get to pick a delivery time?
We pick a delivery window. Now I live so close to the store that handles the online shopping that I'm usually first and usually before my 11-2 window. You also check whether you will accept a substitute if what you select isn't available. Anything you can't find on the site you simply write in at the end.
If anything isn't right we can call the store or email Marsha and she takes care of it. There's nothing to return, they simply refund your money. There have been times when I've returned something because it was convenient.......like the time a guy did my shopping and sent margarine instead of butter. Other funny things have happened. I didn't read correctly and got 1 mushroom instead of a pound. Or the time I thought pork chops were individual chops and ordered 4 and got 4 packages. Recently I ordered 1 donut and got 1 dozen!
I've looked into that where I am. Up until recently there was no one who did that where I am. There is a sevice that does that now. I looked into it and their prices are so much higher than the ones I now pay and they have a $25 delivery charge. I do my shopping in the off hours. Like very early this morning. It was starting to get busy as I was leaving.
The delivery charge is half that here. I'm not sure I'd use the service often if it cost $25!
That on top of the additional cost of the products, it just isn't worth it. At least not yet.
The store that offers the service here is one of the more expensive grocery stores, but it's the one I was already using, so that part didn't really matter.
I find myself going to the grocery store a lot more lately, but it's only to pick up one or two items that I forgot or didn't know that I needed.
I might have already shared this story with you. If I did, I'm sorry.
The day that I moved my sister went to the grocery store with me. Eventually the three of them left me because I was embarrassing them. They said I was acting like I'd never seen a supermarket. It was fun because we went to the store that handles the online orders. The last time I'd been to the store it was a dinky little place.
I am glad it all works out for you with getting the things you need. Sure wish I'd been a fly on the wall the day you and your sisters made that visit. I can imagine how priceless that must have been.
If I have to go out, I pick up more than 1 or two items. It just isn't worth the trip.![]()
I agree 100%. I try to combine errands, especially in the winter when I don't want to venture out at all.
Did you know..........
today is the 97th day of 2008. There are 269 days left in the year.
In 1965, the United States launched the Intelsat I, also known as the "Early Bird" communications satellite, into orbit. The Early Bird satellite was the first to provide direct and nearly instantaneous contact between Europe and North America, handling television, telephone, and telefacsimile transmissions. It was fairly small, weighing 76 pounds (34.5 kg).
Happy 71st Birthday Billy Dee Williams.........

Oh you are such a clever girl. Nope, I didn't know that.
You know what's always bugged me about these communication things is why they call it a TV set when you only get one?
I know. They should come in at least a pair, like salt and pepper shakers.
~ Exactly my thoughts. Sheesh, we really do have so much in common. It just goes to prove that nothing is fool-proof to a sufficiently talented fool.
.........huh?
Oh you know, DGO, that 30-70-90 rule: Anytime you have a 30-70 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
I take it you haven't won at spades recently?
Good Sunday to all.
And a special hello to DGO![]()
Hello there. How are you doing? It's so good to have you drop by.![]()
Doing alright DGO, just dreading the week coming along, tons of work to be done at work.
How about yourself?
Not bad.
Some days it feels really good not to have to look forward to going to work. Other days I'd rather be working.
I hear that. It's been tough for me to take any day off or a vacation since we've had so many people being tardy/sick, so I haven't had a chance for the past three months to enjoy any vacation/day off time.
Oh well, hopefully things will improve come by May.
Make time for yourself! Take your vacation because the work will be there when you return.
I agree with that, soon enough it'll have to be the case, just cause I'm getting piled on with the special projects and the like. But it pays well, so I can't complain.
