I forgot to do the DYK for today. I must be getting old.

We had heavy thunderstorms the other night with high winds. Today we had a tornado warning. A tornado was spotted in North County. At the time it was barely raining here, then all of a sudden the sky got dark and stayed that way for about 10 minutes and all was clear. I did bother to get up and get dressed in case I had to seek shelter in the hall. Right after that the warning was lifted.

Good evening DGO ~ We had heavy T-storms and high winds the other night, but it has been quiet here since. I am so happy the tornado warning didn't mean one came in your direction.

... that today is Paper Clip Day? Fastening papers together started in the 13th century when a short length of ribbon was placed through parallel cuts in the upper left hand corner of pages. In 1899, Johan Vaaler, an inventor in Norway, patented the paper clip. So say thanks to Johan that we don't have hundreds of ribbons on our desks!

I almost included this.........I have a picture taken by a teacher at the request of my homeroom. I ended up at school without my earings. I put paper clips in my ears. As the day wore on, I added more and more until I was able to link them under my chin. Needless to stay that left no doubt about my sanity.
