Diablo 2(for the uninitiated, there will be, once again, guidelines)

OOC: Okay.... I was going to try and throw a little bit of intrigue or something other than the hack and slash into this little adventure.

IC: Alic looked over at Siren and saw that she was in trouble, serious trouble. She was totally surrounded with no way out and he knew that someone had to do something quickly or she was going to die.

He picked his shield up with his uninjured arm and gave a shout as pure white light flew from it and hit the knight's which gave a shout of pain. Several of the knight's turned and looked at him as he fell to the ground, every bit of energy taken from his body.

Siren saw the energy hit the knights and was able to break free. Hurrying over to Alic she stood beside him and felt his pulse. He was unconcious and very weak. Glancing around she noticed a cave near by and prayed that is was safe. Using all her strength she dragged him towards the cave and managed to get him inside. After a quick sweep of the cave she was sure it was safe. Kneeling beside him she slapped him lightly "Alic can you hear me? Alic?"

Alic looked down and the first thing that he noticed was his body laying there. He shouted out but the first thing that he noticed was that he couldn't hear a thing. He looked around and saw that he was in nothing more than a lightless void. He began to move to his right; trying to figure out just where he was and the first thing that he got where he moved was a loud scream of pain and when he looked down he saw that it was coming from his own body!

What the hell is happening to me! he screamed out in his mind.

OOC: anyone know where Eliah went? Did she drop out?

IC: Siren was confused and very worried. Alic seemed to be in a deep sleep, yet every now and then he would scream in pain. She didn't know what to do. She had seen this happen before but never really bothered to learn much about it. Now she cursed her lack of knowledge. Alic was like this because he had saved her. She had to do something, but what?

Morgoth charged into the dark knight, his sword working almost on it's own. He managed to pentetrate once, sinking the sword into the knight's arm, before the knight hit him in the head, sending him and the sword flying.

OOC: Okay, that is a damn good question- where is Eliah?

IC: Alic looked down at his body and saw that the wound that he had in his shoulder was beginning to look nasty. Had the blade of the dark knight infected him with something.... is that why he was here in this prison. He had to tell Siren what he thought the problem was but then he felt the pain of someone else and concentrated on it, feeling Morgoth. He knew that he was in trouble so he looked at his body and willed it to speak, smiling when he heard it say, "Go and help Morgoth.... he needs help."

Siren heard Alic's words. She hesitated "I dont' wish to leave you but I know you are right" worridly she looked at him and lightly touched his cheek before standing up "I will be back!" she said then hurried outside to help morgoth and to kick the shit out of the dark knight!

Alic watched as Siren left the cave to go and help Morgoth fight the dark knight, wishing that he was there to help. As soon as she left though Alic noticed that his body was moving but he knew that without his spirit in it how could it move?

Before he knew what was happening the ground beneath where his body lay suddenly cracked open and he saw his body fall into the hole. No.... I can not let this happen. I have to do something! he shouted out but he knew that it was of no use, nobody would be able to hear him.

Suddenly without any warning he felt his spirit being pulled along and wondered what was happening to him. His body was being moved!

But why and to where he wondered- he knew that he had to find out and fast.

Thorr Thorrson

Thorr was impressed with this silent warrior, but he didn't show that. Wouldn't do for his image, after all, to show concern about his chances against a foe! The two giant fighters continued trading blows, neither able to gain a clear advantage over the other...

The stalemate was broken, though, when Morgoth made a valiant attack on the dark knight, actually wounding him grievously, before being flung back by a savage blow from the evil knight.

For a brief fraction of a second, Thorr considered allowing his foe time to recover... then, with a savage grin, he pressed the advantage! Giantcleaver swung in a deceptively slow arc, with Thorr's entire strength behind it... the dark knight turned in time to see it, but could not block the blow... his eyes locked on Thorr's as Giantcleaver sliced through his neck, cleaving his head from his shoulders...

"By damn! That was one tough bastard, by the gods' beards!" Thorr looked around the battlefield for more foes to slay, but the lesser creatures were fleeing the area, obviously demoralized by their leader's fall.

"Everybody hokay? Nekkie breathing, good... Siren looking pissed, good... Alic? Alic? Where Alic?!!!"

Alic tried to scream out where he was.... or where he was heading but he knew that it was no good. He couldn't say anything but it was then that he saw that part of his cloak was sticking out of the ground. He laughed silently when he saw that and hoped to his goddess that his companions would be able to see it.

As soon as the dark knight fell Siren ran back to the cave an uncanny fear filling her. She called over her shoulder to the others "Alic is over here! He was wounded" she hurried into the cave but came to a dead stop. Alic was gone, frowning she looked around the cave feeling that fear begin anew. "Alic? Where are you? Alic" she looked around and began praying she would find him, it was at that time she noticed something. A peice of Alics cloak sticking out of the ground...

Alic let out a cry of joy when Siren found his cloak that was quickly cut off as he let out a loud shout of absolute agony. He looked around, wondering what was happening to him a moment before another shot of pain flew through his spirit. He knew that something must have been happening to his body but he wondered why it was hurting his spirit, as it was far away from his body.

Suddenly his entire body got a wrack of pain and he knew that he had to see what was happening to his body- there had to be something happening to it. He closed his eyes and pictured his body and when he opened his eyes he looked down and gasped in shock. His body was laying on a stone altar, the clothing that he was wearing was gone and on the left side of his body his skin had gone, exposing his ribs.

"Stop this..... why are you doing this to my body!" he shouted out, knowing that he would not get any answer.

"What the? Do you suppose Andariel did this? Do you think she kidnapped Alic and plans to sacrifice him?" asked Morgoth.

"Thats exactly what I think. We have to save him, but how?" she looked around then looked to Morgoth "Where is there an entrance to Andarial's lair?"

Thorr Thorrson

Thorr looked at his friends, "Alic down there? We dig! Where shovel?" He grabbed the cloak, and started pulling, but only got a shower of dirt for his efforts.

"Quit it. It'll only waste your strength. We have to go to the damn monastery. Then we have to go through the dungeons and after that, the catacombs. Andariel will wait at the bottom. Along with a few hundred of her minions", said Morgoth calmly, "We should leave immediately".

Thorr Thorrsson

Thorr scratched his head with dirty fingers, "Hokay. How Andyrooniel got Alic? Is she big mole chick?"

"Big mole chick?" laughed Morgoth. "Actually, it's magic, my good lug-headed barabarian", he chortled.

Alic watched the three of them standing there in the cave and hoped that they would hurry because he didn't know how much time his body had left. He then felt a great wrack of pain shoot through him and knew that something was happening to his body and wished that he could tell his companions what was happening to him and where he was.

Thorr Thorrsson

"Hunh." Thorr grunted at Morgoth's explanation, and headed off at a trot toward the monastery.

Siren stared worridly at the ground where Alic had dissapeared. Looking at Morgoth she agreed with him that they should leave immediatly. She felt guilt rise in her and couldn't get rid of it. If only she had stayed with him, he would still be here. Frowning she turned and hurried after Thor.

Morgoth put away his poleaxe in favor of a sword and shield. he loped off to the monastery. He didn't have to hold the sword out, there wasn't anything to kill now.
