I mean, I'd expect that's not all that uncommon around here, no? A lot of the erotica on here primarily serve as masturbatory aids. Still, it's kinda ego-boosting (and a little weird) when someone tells me they got off to my stuff.

So, no, I don't think you should be that surprised, unless you have a very low opinion of your own writing, which, after scanning a couple of your stories, definitely wouldn't be warranted.

What's wrong with stroke stories? I find them a great way to learn and explore sex! One fun advantage is that I also write "regular" fiction and have learned how to turn up the heat between my characters without being on-the-nose and without having a story rejected by non-erotic publishers for being sexually explicit.

And yes I've touched myself after reading certain stories. I'm new here so I haven't read yours yet, but will check them out.

If the scene is arousing and long enough, certainly I'd fap to it.

For it to be long enough, i'd wager going off RPing, the sex scene has to be at least 5 posts long (10 posts including replies). Each post is i'd say 2-3 paragraphs (paragraph being 4+ sentences). So you're talking 20-30 paragraphs. Assume a paragraph is 100 bytes, that's 3k of text, or at least 2 pages.

Mind you RPing takes an hour or two, but that's because it's generally 10-15 minutes back and forth for each person to get the message, think about it a minute, then write a reply that takes some minutes and then send. Chat tends to be faster but shorter paragraphs.

Very simple scenes are not enough in my mind. Unless it's a scene you can rewind and just read from the top again and loop it til you get your rocks off.

Though stories that are mostly sex, well you can hold off and just got to the next scene to finish off too...
