After making sure Malaya knew the way Monika had planned out the day, she had retreated to her office and got to work. The girl had been on time, had offered no back talk and seemed to be in a pensive mood. That was all to the good, as far as Monika was concerned. beating hell out of her assistant every day was not in her game plan.
Malaya returned with the muffin and coffee a little less than an hour later. Monika had noted the time but didn't really think on it. After all, it was early in the morning still and the coffee shop was apt to be really busy this time of the day. There had been an odd whiff in the air, but that didn't matter either. As long as the work got done, she just couldn't bring herself to worry about it.
By noon, all the early morning shit was finished and Monika was ready to go to lunch. She wondered if the girl had plans, but pushed the idea away. No use in trying to drag the girl out in public. She probably didn't have any home training to speak of, anyway. Running a quick brush through her hair, Monika stepped into the outer office and waited until the girl looked up.
"Am gonna go to lunch. You should bounce too. We have an hour. I expect you back, on time."
No other words, Monika left, her hair swinging, her hips moving in counterpoint. Lunch was calling her name, loudly...and she was starved.
