Yea, I get that... It's just frustrating. I also depend on the feedback (even if it's just the rating) to know if the story is on the right track or not. So going too far past what is posted makes me worry. For the most part, I have faith that my story is good, and I am writing it the way I want to write it. But one of the reasons I post it here is for feedback. To see if it is as good as I think it is. My wife critiques my work and gives me feedback...but she loves me...and as much as she tries to avoid it, there is always going to be a bias in her opinion.Don't overthink it. In six months, when (one assumes) the whole story is published, the lag between chapters is irrelevant, because the whole thing is out there.
Folk fret far too much about the initial release, I reckon.
Anyway, good stories are like fine wine or whiskey, they need time.
Writing it your way, you can make a rod for your own back. If you publish as you go along, there comes a time when you can no longer keep up, and your end up on a treadmill, trying to keep the release pace going.
