never been so I can't say if it's as the stories described but from what I've heard, they are all that and then some. Though, I don't believe they don't tend to be quite as 'free-loving' as the stories suggest.
I also have heard of one in Toronto but can't remember the name...

I'd love to visit one someday...just to watch. I so love being a voyeur. I've heard and looked up a few places in NYC but most of them are couples and single ladies only. Single men are turned away and I can understand why. Some of us are real freaks LOL

Swing clubs in CA are 18 and older. Single females are always welcome, single males almost never.
There are a half-dozen if the SF bay area. You can check out the NASCA.com web site for listings.
There are all kinds of clubs with different specialties from anonymous dogpile orgies to off-premises clubs where you take you new friends somewhere else to get frisky. Some are for the young, others mostly middle-aged.
My SO and I go a couple of times a year. Sometimes you have a great time with lots of compatible couples. Other times you chat with the regulars, hang out in the hot tub and head home. There's no telling.
There is a recent swinging thread started by pharmtekbobby that has a lot of good comments and a reading list from one of the guru's if you're interested.

I used to go to a sex club when I was living overseas in Australia. Melbourne is a wonderfully open-minded city!
It's kind of challenging for single males though, which I was at the time. They put single males on "standby" until the evening of the event at which time they called whatever number of males they felt was appropriate for the couples and single females they were having. I was bumped the first time I tried to go but never after that. I guess they judged me to be a decent guy after the first time I actually went.
I went four times. The first time there were only ten people there and nobody had sex. We had a good time swimming and drinking (lightly) and talking though.
The next two times there were about 20 people there and there was a lot of sex even in the public areas. Tons. But I didn't get any of it. I still had a pretty good time though, just being social with the people who weren't being physical.
The fourth time I went, a woman came on to me really strong and we ended up spending nearly the whole evening together having sex. We were in a private room for most of the time, even though there were public sex rooms. She was 40+ and I was 25 which was a new experience for me. She was the Lady of the House as she and her husband were the hosts of these events.
I would have gone more times but I had to return to California. I still email people I met there though!

AngelofSex- I have been looking into swing clubs in Jersey for a while now. Seems that most cater to couples in the 35+ age range. Its a little intimadating for us being so young. Im 23 and shes 20. That being said, I think that all the ones around here are only 21 and over. Any thoughts, suggestions?

when i was like 15 i went to this club in jersey.. it ddint have a name.. it was basically a warehouse.. a complete dump.
well i went there for the music and party with a few friends... it turned out to be one large orgy. people were just going at it all over the brokendown house. i was quite surprised because at the time i was still a virgin and was really inexperienced. i didnt think places like that existed. well they do exist.. there are some really exculsive ones where you have to qualify to join.... something like that... im sure you can find them on the web if you search hard enough. a good amount of them are for married couples or couples in serious relationships.

They are in many different categories. Some are for gays, but most of them for couples and straight people - which includes bisexual women...
Most of the ones for couples are not open to single males, or they are allowing a very limited number of males. This to avoid ending up with 50 single males and 5 couples.
Clubs are also frequent in Belgium, France and Germany. So if you know what to look for, there is no problem to find one...

They do exist though my understanding is that most are " swing" clubs and not sex clubs per say. There are quiet a few in my area and the hubby has been really interested in going to one but my understanding is that it can often be a let down if you go in expecting a roman orgy or if you are one of the few single males allowed in.
