I got my first tattoo 12 years ago and I'm not regretting it at all...I put time into all my choices for tattooes with the question "will it mean something to me in 40 years?". I really love it when people say things like "you'll regret it" I mean wow, good to know someone has the audacity to say things like that.

I draw a lot of my own tattoo designs based on the traditional black 'tribal' stuff.

I want so many of my own desgns its unreal, just where to get them where they aren't seen by my parents is a big problem! i want to get one on my inner thigh, but want to shed a few lbs first!

I've done my research, I've spent about 5 years wanting it
now I've only to wait another year or two so I can get it. I only need to work up the money and draw it out the way I want it. Sadly school is taking up all my time and money.

I do not have a tattoo yet but I have plans of getting one next year. I have wanted one for a while but was waiting til I was sure its what I wanted to do and something that I would want til I die. So I have put tons of thought into it and I know for me the time is right. I look forward to getting it done. Going to get one on my left back shoulderblade. As to what it is yet I am looking at two designs still in the decide mode. Knowing me I will end up getting them both one on the left and one on the right. :lol:

I've got five total right now. when I start making some extra cash I've got a major one planned. love ink, love piercings.

as far as choosing a tattoo, I say choose something that has meaning to you. it feels so good to be able to tell a bit of a story.

also, I've been pretty nice about giving the artists creative license, trusting their judgment to reflect my wishes. I wouldn't reccommend this, not at least if you have something specific in mine. my tattoos are all very well done, but allowing one person to do what he wanted to over what I wanted left me with a well done tattoo that didn't look as much as I wanted it to.

I've got my wife's name on my right hip... did it while we were only engaged... I was pretty sure that she was the one for me (still is BTW)
If I were to get another it would be an Eagle / Globe / and Anchor, the Marine Corps seal on my bicep

I've just been watching a program about tattoos, and was wondering how many here have a tattoo?
