"Doctor Who: Powers of Ten" (OOC)

Guerneville.

Frisco has a lot, but not the highest percentage.

Guerneville, CA is around 98 %

According to the 2005 American Community Survey, San Francisco has the highest percentage of gay and lesbian individuals of any of the 50 largest U.S. cities, at 15.4%

First of all: not that there's anything wrong with that.

Second of all: I don't care what colour a Dalek is, or what colour his friends are, that row of primordial, old-school Daleks scares me way more shitless than the ones in "Manhattan" ever did.

Emperor Norton I requires a fine from you.

Also... rainbow Daleks reminded me less of being gaytastic...and more of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers... cause I'm odd that way

"tomorrow is going to be a big day"
"what?"
"I have a time machine, I skip the little ones"

"alright, we've landed"
"no we haven't"
"Yes we have I just landed her"
"but it didn't make the noise"
"what noise?"
*imitates the noise the tardis makes when it appears*
"its not supposed to make that noise, you leave the brake on"

you say that like being male would keep you from playing female chars

.. mm though I'm one to talk... since I tend to stick with what I know as it were myself

... still I feel someone's love for a char and the wish to play them should not be dampened just because you happen to be of the opposite sex than them.

I'd agree with that on principle, yeah, UM, absolutely.

I mean, obviously, having played multiple characters of either gender (or both or neither) for years and years and y--oh God I'm so old now.

This is not to say that I'm giving you, thelvinaer, permission to go ahead and play River in this thread. Maybe I'm just in a bitchtastic mood this weekend, but you mentioned you wanted to play The Master but clammed up when I suggested you do a little legwork on it, meet me in the middle. Maybe I'm misinterpreting, I dunno.

I would not be opposed to a River Song appearing in this thread. I've already quoted her, and Doc's wielding the squareness gun was blatant foreshadowing.

But it has not yet been sufficiently demonstrated to me that you're the one to do that.

lol nah I don't think you're being bitchtastic.

and in no way was I trying to give invite to play as I totally do not have that authority here...

Just trying to provide counter-argument because I love my male chars just as much as my female ones.

Nor was I accusing you of anything, and I apologise for implying as much, I didn't mean to.

It's just I've been trying to figure out a diplomatic response to Elvin's post since he put it up and couldn't think of one, so I figured I'd just come out and say it. Your reply gave me opportunity to do so, and for that I thank you. :: nodnod ::

I did not clam up... I ended up with some bad RW stuff happening that I had to take care of and which left me little time for playing on here. and I think she is an interesting character to be sure, but I have never been comfortable playing the opposite gender, and so I won't do so. I wasn't asking for or wanting permission to play as her in the thread, as I said... if I were a female, I would want to play as her, but I am not...

Understood.

You have my sorriest apologies for jumping to conclusions.

Well the newest episode has shown me that River Song is far more badass than I originally thought.

and reinforced the fact the Weeping Angels are scary scary things. I think I'm going to be incredibly paranoid next time I see a statue of angel covering its' face.

and why does no one ever think to ask WHY someone is asking a question that seems a little peculiar.

I honestly think I'd be nothing but a volley of whys and hows if I was the Doctor's companion... those sorts of questions are terribly important really.

Mm, that was brilliant. The closing line still gave me goosebumps even though I'd heard it already.

And I'm a little disappointed we didn't get to see the actual actual crashing of the crash of The Byzantium. But the results were nothing to sneeze at.

I think The Doctor is annoyed by the whys and the hows because most of those he knows already and the ones he doesn't know bug the crap out of him. Martha once asked him how The TARDIS works and he just scowled at her that it would spoil the mystery.

I very much liked the part in the museum. In which he points and laughs at archaeologists... XD

And River Song continues to elude.

Oh lol don't get me wrong... I very well know that I'd annoy him so thoroughly that he'd probably dropkick me onto the nearest planet in a very quick manner.

But I can't help it. That's what I am, ever curious.

And that's what sort of confuses me about him. He's driven by his curiosity, really. He's looking for the new and the exciting and the WTF, and yet as soon as his Companions start exhibiting that curiosity he's like shtum and stfu.

Odd fellow, that.

Depends on which one you get, I guess. I think you and Eight would get along splendidly, based on my impression of you.
