"Doctor Who: Powers of Ten" (OOC)

not attacking ther minds/emotions. attacking the physical parts of their suit.

kinda like ripping the arms off a wookie through a forcefield.

Well, yes. But when I'd said "mental manipulation" earlier, I wasn't talking about teke but about mental, telepathic attacks.

and your not posting from your computer cause you???

spent the night out? :p

I prefered Planet Earth over Life, but both of those & Blue Planet were breathtakingly beautiful!

...I don't know that we're talking about the same "Life."

There was this awesome show a few years back about a cop who served 12 years of a prison term for a murder he didn't commit. Later evidence absolves him of the crime, he sues for recompense and gets a detective's shield as part of the payoff.

He survived his prison term by studying Zen, and frequently quotes Zen aphorisms to those bewildered by his eccentric behaviour.

He's also singlemindedly hunting down the conspiracy that put him away, pursuing the wife who divorced him while he rotted in jail and remarried but whom he still loves, and trying to win over a partner who thinks he's a complete and utter fruitcake nutjob.

Yep I loved it

Posted this as a Doctor song in The OOC for "LDoK: Legion," but it deserves a second mention.

Nightwish - "Nemo"

This is me for forever
One of the lost ones
The one without a name
Without an honest heart as compass

This is me for forever
One without a name
These lines the last endeavor
To find the missing lifeline

Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
All I wish is to dream again
My loving heart
Lost in the dark
For hope I'd give my everything

My flower
Withered between
The pages two and three
The once and forever bloom gone with my sins

Walk the dark path
Sleep with angels
Call the past for help
Touch me with your love
And reveal to me my true name

Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
All I wish is to dream again
My loving heart
Lost in the dark
For hope I'd give my everything

Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
Oh how I wish to dream again
Once and for all
And all for once
Nemo my name for evermore

Nemo sailing home
Nemo letting go

Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
All I wish is to dream again
My loving heart
Lost in the dark
For hope I'd give my everything

Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
Oh how I wish to dream again
Once and for all
And all for once
Nemo my name for evermore

Nemo my name for evermore

It's pretty good. Season 2 wasn't quite as good, but Season 1 was crisp and beautiful.

And I need to watch more nature documentaries, I love learning about that stuff. Thanks for the recommendations!

this is not the tardas you are looking for

The best part is, because The TARDIS has a perception filter on it that diminishes people's ability to notice it as being anachronistic and alien and weird, it's its own Jedi Mind Trick.

But Artoo would look at her and whistle long and low.

So, I read some comics today for the first time in ages.

Went to that old comic book store downtown? You know the one, you've been in it a thousand times.

Picked up a few ishes and a Blue Lantern pin and reserved a copy of the issue of "Action Comics" that's going to guest-star Death.

I got the "Serenity: Float Out" one-shot, that focuses on Wash?

The last panel made me bawl my eyes out, for fuck's sake.

I also got a nice issue of "Batgirl," with Stephanie Brown under the cowl? Ah, she's a cutie, I've been supporting her since her Spoiler days like a hundred years ago.

But! While I was there, I got one of the last issues with Ten in the "DW" ongoing from IDW, and that was cool, that was cool, Martha had a machine gun. And I also got the collected episodes of Grant Morrison's "World Shapers."

I have new respect for Six, now. All he needed was a good writer.

the whole "Master" series.
Evolution of the Daleks

something else too. I still have like 5 episodes on my DVR to finish.

seeing a regeneration was awesome! & it's interesting that it's a choice, not a necessity.
