For one thing, "big government" does not equate to Marxism.
For another, I very much doubt that many of the climate scientists who agree on the reality of anthropogenic climate change are Marxists.

According to my Ranger Rick magazine in 1980, peak oil topped in 1997 and by 2015 the planet was in a global energy crisis with mass starvation events on every continent.
