I have had mine done for about a yr and 1/2. When I 1st went in, and piercer came towards me with needle(ok, I'll admit) I had a cple tears forming, lol. Anyways, it didnt hurt when the needle went thru. Didnt hurt tilll the next day, was sore. Tongue also swelled. It only lasted about 4 days lil less. After the whole deal though, I think I should've owned stock in Listerine, as you have to rinse after eating, smoking, everything. How bad does peircing the tongue hurt? I'd love to get it done but being older (34) and in nursing (I work in a nursing home) I'm not sure how well that would go over. Plus, I'm having a hard enough time hiding my nipple peircings from my young children (2 & 5). I am usually pretty free with being naked but I have been wearing a shirt all the time since I've been done.

Because its only at the end of healing properly now, we haven't had much chance to play with it, but it doesn't seem to have been de-sensitised!

Is this no longer the preferred method of doing a nipple piercing? (I ask because a friend witnessed someone she knew get both her nipples pierced, and that story alone scares me.)
