I was browsing in BME and came across dolphin piercings. I've searched my fool fingers to the bone and couldn't find a good description of what it is or even a picture. Does anyone here have one? Have a picture of one? Have a description of what it looks like? This is my first forray into this site but, from what I've seen so far, I thought that this might be my best bet.

Thanks.

I use to spend a lot of time searching on BME. A Dolphin piercing in also called a Deep PA that far as I know stands for Deep prince albert. Check google images for Prince Albert piercings and that will give you and idea what your looking at. I bet if you search for a piercing board you'd be able to find someone that will help you with any questions. There was one that was part of something like eboards but i dont think it's around anymore.

good luck

Thanks. I got the deep PA part but still can't picture it. I'll try searching for other forums though. Thanks for the help.

A Dolphin is a Prince Albert piercing attached to another, deeper Prince Albert piercing. It is usually done with a curved barbell as jewelry. Its name comes from the appearance of the jewelry "diving" through the surface of the skin.

I did a few quick Google and Google image searches with these terms and came up with all sorts of pictures and detailed descriptions. Try 'dolphin piercing' in google, then click on the Images link, and you should be fine.

Our resident piercing expert is warrior queen (there might be an underscore), so maybe she'll pop up or wouldn't mind a PM inquiry.

I'm probably gonna cringe in pain, but whats a "Prince Albert?

And what is BME?

From what I understand, the reason it's called a Prince Albert is because Prince Albert (of Victoria and Albert) had one as a young man--men of that time (Regency and early Victorian) had them because the ring in the penis could then be tied to the leg, thus making sure it lay flat under those tight Nepolenonic pants. The penis was thus kept from embarassing bluges and erections as well.

If this is incorrect--or someone has a better explaination, I'm all ears.

i have never done a dolphin piercing - but i have done many PA's and reverse PA's (instead of exiting at the underside, a reverse PA exits through the top) and have done several guys with both of these.

the dolphin looks and sounds interesting, and certainly something of a challenge for a piercer!

now..... to find a client willing to try...... :D

Prince Albert.... Ouch! Now where would one go to get one?

not all piercers will do genitals, so ring around.
you're sure to find one though - there's a few around!

Thank you all. I searched again and found some photos that explained it all. It wasn't nearly as exciting as I thought. I had some vision of a blowhole or something. I imagined the name came from redirecting the urethra to somewhere midway between the testicles and the head of the penis.
