Dragons of Gralfor OOC

Hmmm, I never really thought about that.

Okay, now that I have thought about it. It's Summer.

Its not harvest time for my carrots... Damn dwarves, they are like gofers they are.

Don't you just hate those multiple personalities?

BTW, I'm enjoying this thread quite a bit.

can i get a time estimate on how long it would take to fly from capital to where im meeting alezal? like will it be sunset when i arrive noon dawn etc :) then i can post my arrival

I asked Angelus something similar in a PM, and he said it takes 10 days on horseback to travel from Riverdale to the Dragon Knights territory, and 5 days flying by dragon. I'd estimate 2 to 2.5 days flying time from Graliel to Kergal, so you could very well meet Alezal in about a day, maybe a day and a half.

If you left in the morning then you would meet up with Alezal about noon of the day after next as it would take two days flying time to get to where Amber and Ari are. If you left in the afternoon then around about sunset. If it is around sunset then we would maybe have to make camp for the night, seeming as Shar and Anoth might be a little bit worn out by then.

Why thank you very much.

I just have to say though wait 'til this thread really gets started. You haven't seen anything yet.

I know this is a stupid question to ask right now but does anyone know where Amber and Ari are meant to be. When I wrote all the posts I had an idea they were in near the woods near Suivea but I'm not so sure.

That puzzled me aswell. I originaly figured a forest but then it occured to me... There are no forests in my part of the world.

Any how, I am taking the comp out. I am simply claiming the forest isn't large enough to be on the map and is in fact a forest on a mountain making it even less likely to apear on a map.

To borrow the name of one of my favorite local hikes in vegas. We are in hidden forest. (Which is located on a mountain in the desert.)

I hate to say this cats but there are no mountains in the desert. It is basically just sand dunes as far as the eye can see.

There are a couple of forests in your part of the world though. One of them is near Winters Edge and the other is near the edge of Neverwinter. That's the one I thought the two of you were. I may have gotten it wrong though.

Oh come now my entire southern border is mountains. truthfully the map shows no mountains at all except for the far south. I assumed that the land wasn't flat.

So can I get a mountain made out of sand stone maybe? (Joke)

I thought that you were talking about just Neverwinter which is as predominantly as flat as the proverbial pancake. Your province isn't all desert though (which I failed to mention-my bad). All around Neverwinter are grasslands, such as where Kergal is (was, sorry).

I can give you a small hill in the desert though. Maybe a mini mountain.

well angelus im happy to go for sunset because i think both dragons would need a rest after flying for that long before going and eating some orcs...is that okay with you?

Mmm breakfast. I'll try and save a few dozen orcs for every one else.

As for a small hill. BAHAHA I am king of the Mountain!

In all seriousness, the thread is going to be inconsistent if we assume the prince was missing to begin with. Are we going to some how discover he is not there? As is I am wondering what territory he operates in, and what is main form of magic is.

Sunset is definitely okay with me Kalika.

The prince will show up here and there. He is an integral part to the entire thread. I just have to set up the orcs first.

The prince's territory used to be Pelas because the territory was such a large area and the ruling city was there he decided that it would be best for him to help Cherise. One day twenty years ago he told all of the Knights that he was going to go to the Roost to rest and train. When he got there he shut himself away from the others. Everyone thinks that he is still in the Roost because while a knight is in the Roost he or she cannot be contacted telepathically. His branch of magic is Psychic (I will explain what it is in the first post).

All I need is someone to go to the Roost and find him not there. Do I have a volunteer?

I thought that I would post this here so everyone won't have to go to the first page.

Here are what the forms of magic can do (Dragon Knights):
Defensive - Can create barriers, bubbles, protective wards, imbue any armor with magical properties so nothing can get through.
Healing - Can heal every and any wound, even if the person is near death.
Elemental - Can control any of the five elements (air, wood, earth, fire, water)
Destructive - Can destroy just about anything and everything, even a mountain if strong enough.
Conjuration - Can create anything out of nothing, like a catapult :D
Psychic - Anything to do with mental powers like telekinesis, telepathy, ESP, mind control. Able to see the future to a certain degree.

Atherron will go, after he's finished the harvest. I figure he'll go under the pretence of tending to the gardens at the Roost. That is, of course, if no one let's Atherron know about the orcs that just razed Kergal.

Really? "The Roost"? Is that what we're calling our little home away from home?

Cool. I think Atherron is the only one not really doing anything at the moment so he is more than likely the perfect one to go and check up on the prince. There is one thing though. I have to write up a bio for the prince. Just wait for me to do that and then you can post when you wish to. I was thinking that on the way, if nobody has contacted him beforehand that he can also see what happened to Kergal as he flies over it.

Um yeah. I was thinking it would be called the Roost because it is high up in the mountains and is a home. I could have called it the Nest but I don't think anyone would have liked it.

Not true, fire opal would love to call it his love nest.

Will do.

As for the name of our home away from home, "Roost" and "Nest" make it sound like we're birds. I'm sure the dragons would take offense at that, especially Shela. Unfortunately, I can't think of a better name at the moment. Well, actually I can -- a few in fact -- I just can't decide which one is best.

Roost sounds fine to me.

But I assume one key thing. The dragons live in caves and the people live in houses but the roost is neither cave nor house. The roost I picture as outside perhaps with some old ruins or the like. In general I assume roost refers to where the humans and dragons live together were as Den and lair work for dragons and hamlets and villages work for humans.

Cats is on the money.

I called it The Roost for that very reason as it is neutral ground between humans and dragons.

welll theres also the Eyrie? roosts are for chickens and Eyrie is a eagle nest :p lol thats my 2cents
