We used to buy Golden Grain alcohol and mix it with grape juice to make purple passion. I think golden grain is 180 proof---maybe, but, I sure as hell couldn't drink it straight.

I forgot all about Rumplemintz, that stuff is wonderful. I also like the Goldshlocer (sp?), it has little flecks of gold looking stuff in it. We buy it on New Year's Eve as our part of our little tradition.

The only two alchoholic drinks that I've come across that I can't chug (ladylike Huh?) are Yagemiester (I can't spell it either) and moonshine.

I can handle wine, but that stuffs just nasty.

I am pretty sure it is hard to do shots and continue to be ladylike. Probably one of the reasons why my husband thought I was so much fun was that at 21, I was 5'0 tall and a 115 lbs and could drink him under the table and he is 6'4, still can as a matter of fact. My nickname in college was "Ski", since I rarely missed a shot while playing quarters if I rolled it off my nose.

It's Goldschlager, and yes just as evil, but I'm not too hot on cinnamon. We used to mix the two, (Rumplemintz/Goldschlager), and call them 911's. As a dedicated alcoholic, I highly recommend it. I believe we discovered the shit actually cures blindness....

The 911 sounds pretty good. I will have to try that. Always up for trying new and interesting drinks. I went to Happy Hour one evening with a girlfriend and she and I took turns closing our eyes and pointing to drinks for us to order. Needless to say it was an interesting evening.

Just for the sake of spelling it right, it's Jaegermeister.

I'm a lightweight drinker. A couple glasses of wine, or the equivalent of a shot of rum, and I'm quite buzzed. Anything more than that makes me silly. And then tired. And then sound asleep. I need to get in shape.

When I was in high shool in Mississippi one of my closest friend's dad had a 'stil. He made the purest moonshine I've ever had, it was a full 200 proof. It burned cold blue and completely away.. It tasted like toe-jam, and it burned your mouth like a super hot pepper and went immediatley to your head...
It was smooth enough to drink (sip!) straight, but god who'd want to? (unless you are 17)
Mixed with anything it was pretty tolerable...one bottle would last forever..

Intersting postscript: My friend's dad got raided in a cooperative between the ATF, local Sheriff and police. They were tipped off by an anonymous source about this big liquor selling operation. It was in all the papers...even a picture of a 60 year old man being hauled off to jail. What they didn't say was that the 'still was only 5 gallons in size, and they found less than double that on the property. Turns out the 'anonymous source' was a bitter neighbor who turned him in to spite. I really miss small town life.....

....like a fucking boot to the bean-bag.

I am a tequilla girl myself. It is pretty much all I will drink, if I am doing the hard stuff. If I just want something light, or am wanting something to drink between shots, I usually just grab a wine cooler.

Any legal one. I tried illegal twice : Grappa and Absinthe.
