Also, I'ma go try for a different job tomorrow. Cable company hasn't called me back, and this bar needs a buser. It's a dollar more than I'm making plus tips
Yeah, can’t put your life on hold for one prospect. It’s really annoying how jobs don’t call back applicants they don’t want though. Bugs the hell out of me. It’s like you don’t know whether they don’t want you, or they do and they’re just taking a while.
Would that buzzer job involve talking to customers?
Hmm. Well, it's in a bar setting, so probably? But I find that, at least it seems like, in bar settings you can put your foot down when someones being dick.
By the way, I thought the mirroring was awesome in the last post where Vin was remembering how Damien had carried him in the bar. It just really drives home how despite what he now knows, Damien is the same person who laughed with him and helped him to his room.
How dare you make me tear up T_T I wasn't even thinking of it like that, fully, until you said that ;-;
And how dare Damien make me tear up! Dx That boy has won my damn heart and taken a path of redemption T_T
You know this is something I've kind of toyed with in my mind a bit though, the moralities of it, because I've been trying to prep a conversation between Quint and Vin. And I think, I finally figured out the main point I'll drive home with it. Cause I'm thinking I'll have Quint (knowing full well what Damien has personally been through) ask Vin what makes it right, that he should be forgiven. And instead of Vin telling him what, I think I'm going to have Vin tell him it doesn't. That basically it isn't right, and wasn't right, but that they are now moving forward with both the knowledge that Damien wishes to change, has changed, but also not simply deleting history or what he was capable of.
Obviously it's going to have a bit more substance than that, but that's the main structure if it that I have so far
He’s learning what it means to rely on people and let them in, and I think he’s coming to terms with the fact that he really cares for Vin. :,)
Yeah, I agree with that. Damien has hidden it, yes, but instead of running away when everyone found out, he chose to stay and face it because he wanted to be someone better. In a sense they’re teaching him how to be more human.
