I’m not sure Sabastian has the capacity to hear it, but he could definitely feel what Quint’s feeling and recognize the vibe.

However… Prochette has mind-like abilities and is right down the hall.

Oh man, I think Angelique is going to plant some thoughts in Sayori that’ll make it extra painful when Quint leaves. Speaking of, I was thinking that the group wouldn’t just leave Sayori, so maybe he tells them to drive ahead, then he tells Sayori she has to stay, and drives off without her. He lies to the group and says he convinced her to stay and wait for them.

Of course Sabastian and Cora can smell the shit from a mile away, but by the time they stop, they’re too far to go back for her.

Leaving Sayori behind is going to be a pretty hard hit for her I imagine. I had an idea, of perhaps a way they could mend/repair their relationship, but it might mess with plot timelines a little. But maybe not too bad.

So my idea was that perhaps we half switch around when Sayori gets bitten, and when she gets left with Jameson and the gang. What I was thinking, is that somehow they perhaps upon Jameson's group BEFORE they get to Damaris place. And then things happen at the rebel base where everyone has to run away from oncoming zombs. But during that chaos, if perhaps Sayori gets enough of a hair up her ass, she might maybe...oh I don't know, steal a car and track Quints dumb ass down like maybe she gets a chance to see the map and really get a pretty good visual of where they are heading.

And then I was thinking, maybe she can't -quite- find Damaris cabin, gets somewhat lost in the woods, and that's why she gets bit. And then after she's bitten maybe it takes her body longer to recover then it did some other people, which could end up making them stay there for like three weeks. Which could in turn lead to plenty of times for shenanigans and drama to unfold between the group.

Oh, and I was thinking that maybe Quint tries to either sneak back to the base on his own, or has someone at the base who is supposed to check in with him, and update Satoris status. So when he can't find her, he freaks and that's why he's able to find her in the woods, because he tracks her down.

Of course, these are all just thoughts~ They ran away a bit wild with me when I was thinking of how Quint might try to repair that blow of having to leave her, and I thought, well the bite would definitely force them to open up about shit. Perhaps not him fully admitting his feelings for her, out loud, but enough for him to come to terms with wanting her in his life no matter what the consequences

I'm not sure how that will help her to forgive him more, but I would be fine switching the story up like that. It makes sense that they would run into the rebels before reaching Damaris, and that Quint would trust Jameson/Tommy to take care of Sayori since they're in the know. I don't think it's plausible for him to sneak down to them, so I think reports via walkie talkie or radio might be better.

We have to keep in mind though that Sophia is coming with them, so I'm not sure if we want to keep her with the main group or drop her off with the army with Sayori. However... If Sayori slips away in all the chaos, Sophia could try to follow her and bring her back. Being much better at navigation though, she would reach the cabin and be confused as to why Sayori hadn't arrived there yet.

I may have just been in a mood because my hands were itching to do something. While I was concocting that plan, I was also mentally drawing up blueprints of how to completely rearrange my house...even though I just did it two months ago.

Haha...I just had this dumb image, of if I was ever in a DND campaign or something, I would be this really lazy wizard who is also hyper as fuck sometimes. And I just imagine the party hearing a door creak open in the background, they look and see me trying (failing) to sneak out with like, a Santa clause size bag of scrolls. Just so many scrolls and magic items that they're literally falling out of the bag.

Then someone points at me and goes, "Drowy! You put those back right now! You can't handle that many plans and spells!"

I just look over at them like a deer caught in the headlights, then laugh maniacally and take off running.

I think the main issue with Sayori’s forgiveness is that her trust in him is going to be pretty squished. She’s going to be real pissed at him once she’s lucid again, and won’t really believe that he’s being genuine with her anymore. In that case, it might actually be helpful if Cora talks to her and provides a bit of perspective/vouching that he cares. It might even spark the admission from Sayori that she loves him (though only admitting it to her).
