Eh... not necessarily like pushing me to work, but they are now taking in residents who need more care than an actual ASSISTED living facility is supposed to provide. Like they're bringing in people who are already on hospice, there to pass away. Not residents who have already been living there for years and are now just going naturally. So that combined with barely minimum wage is just not worth it. I'm dipping out, most starting pay around here is now 18/19 and hour.

And also basically giving me corporate speak of 'just tough it out' when I called them at midnight earlier tonight asking to go home because I was having a hard time breathing and I couldn't do my damn job. (I'm fine it's just my usual shit, but I couldn't work-i almost fainted just trying to help someone who got themselves on the toilet). So, yea. Drowy may or may not have called out tonight, going to have two days in a row off, and probably definitely but very likely going to be job hunting during those two days. Because fuck you RCC, I literally told you the last time my asthma got bad I had to go to the hospital for a breathing treatment, and you don't even TRY to call anyone in. -_- oh sure, you'll come in "if it gets worse"

Sorry I never answered. I'm gonna try to post before bed today, just finally getting my laundry done.

I've been okay. Definitely could be worse, but work definitely wore my ass out for not that much payoff... got a flare up from it and something near my house was blooming and making my allergies almost unmanageable, so the asthma has been worse. So just not great lol. Gonna be job hunting over the next few weeks probably unless I get lucky quick.

Edit: but in good/more hopeful news, my landlord is willing to do a month to month lease once my current lease is up, so I'm going to try to move down to the town my partners are in. If I get really lucky I might be able to get into the apartment right behind them, but if not just being in the same town will be super nice and we can all save a bit more on gas by carpooling and doing grocery shopping together. I'll also probably be getting away from this field of work... maybe temporary, maybe permanently, but I think it will be better for my mental health.

Healthcare in America is just so fucked on so many levels. Despite having some solid support with me now, all the red tape is just so depressing... it's been sneaking up on me and just, taking my mind to places I don't need to be going. So time to change it up again.

It's a story of blackmail and debauchery! It's set in modern times which isn't typically my thing, but I like the way he writes so far. He's clever and has a sense of humor, so things are going well. We haven't gotten to the part of the story where his character has been introduced yet, but the build-up is exciting.

About halfway done, but I was just thinking. I'm super looking forward to the stuff we got planned, but you know what I'm really looking forward to? It's a little silly, but I'm honestly so yearning for Damien and Cora to be together again somewhere peaceful, and get to be silly and play together like two little kids. I feel like they both got robbed of a childhood, and looking back at the beginning of the rp where they were just playing on the bed before they left her apartment made me so happy lol. It's the silliest thing, but damnit if I haven't grown really attached to these two, and want to see them happy again ;-;

Hmm... Yeah, I get that. I think about Damien's orca belly-flop on the bed sometimes and smile to myself like a lunatic. Or the time Cora got drunk and offered him crackers, singing to Bowie and getting all excited from his head bobs. That one time they played the guessing game while she got a massage. They're really important to me as well, those two knuckleheads. I really hope we get to have them be a bit childish sometime soon- maybe at the farm/cabin.
