Edited Stories Stuck in Pending Queue

I posted here on Jan. 27 about several stories of mine that had formatting problems after they were published. I got good advice about how to submit edited versions of those stories and did so. I also used the FAQ guidelines here about submitting edits.

On Jan. 27, I submitted an edited story. That request for editing asks only that an incorrect apostrophe + s ('s) in the story's title be deleted.

On Jan. 29, I submitted Word files of the two stories that lost all formatting when they were published because I had sent in an rtf file for both, and that caused the formatting problems.

Since Jan. 27 and 29, the edited stories have sat in my pending queue. About four days ago, I sent a message to administrators, using the contact form on the site, asking if I had done something wrong as I submitted the edited versions, and if so, please to let me know what the problem is. I have not heard anything back in response.

I do see in the thread here a discussion in which it's stated that requests to edit can take up to a month, so maybe that's why these requests to edit have remained in my pending queue? I'd appreciate feedback to help me understand. I've been holding off on sending in a new story, because I had thought it couldn't be published until the edits had cleared the queue.

Edits to already-published stories have the lowest priority in the moderation queue, it's very common for them to take around a month to go through, no matter how minor the edit is

That won't affect your ability to publish other stories though, so don't feel like you need to wait! Your other stories will almost certainly get published before the pending edits go through.

Edits can take up to and sometimes over a month, but there's no impact on your next story. There's no need to wait for the edits to clear.

Submit your next story - after you've done another spell check and proof read...
