Embarassing question about hair

All right, I decided to post this here because this is something that concerns me and, probably, lots of other men.

My problem is that I have hair on the region between my testicles and my butt, on my butt and in that whole region. It's not like pubic hair, but it's still kind of long. I know that having hair there is normal to a certain degree, but I think I cross that line and it can be kind of awkward sometimes. So, I would like to hear what solutions do I have.

So far I heard about cremes that you put on a cloth and then you wipe the hairy region to remove all the hair. Do these cremes or lotions work? If so, can you give me some brand names and some prices? (ehhh yes... prices are also important).

I heard also about trimmers (like the MicroTouch Trimmer) but I'm not sure they're easy to apply considering the anatomy of the places and the fact that the head of the MicroTouch Trimmer is pretty small, which makes it difficult to clean a larger area, especially when you can't reach it very well.

Finally, I'd like to ask the guys who removed the hair from that region of their body if they would recommend it. Can you walk well after? Can you move, exercise, run without feeling uncofortable or without burning your skin?

Thank you! I believe this would help many guys ...

I heard about Magic on Lit, and went out and bought the cream. Found it at Target, but you can get it at Walgreens and stuff also. Designed for black men, but it works great for lower region hair removal. I havent experienced any irritation at all using it, but definently try the test first. My friend slathered it on her puss without testing it and it burned the skin between her thighs and mound really bad. She was in pain for days. Price is cheap, below five bucks for the tube I got, and it's lasted me three weeks so far.

Good luck.

how bout just shaving it? and then after that trim it once a week so the hair doesnt get long and out of control

Thanks for the advices. I'm not Black, but I'm willing to give it a try.

As for the shaving, due to the difficult region and the uneven surface, it's very difficult, if not impossible. However I'm considering a trimmer like the MicroTouch Trimmer.

Nevertheless, I'm willing to listen to other advices or comments. :)

you can shave any area...no matter how uneven and bumpy. Maybe try waxing...or just being happy with your body how it is? thats always nice too....

I had an old beard/mustache trimmer lying around that I never use anymore. Just used that to trim the hair down.
(No way that thing is going anywhere near my face again ;) )

Basically you could take scissors there if you wanted too. Depends on if you want it 100% smooth or just under control.

Creme/shave for the former or microtouch or anythig similar for the latter.

This might help http://www.pubicshave.com/

Just my two cents - trim with scissors, but if you start shaving, there's all that upkeep and maintenance. Once it's gone, you've got a while to deal with it growing back in if you hate it, so start slow... Trim with scissors (here's a weird tip I heard, the duller the blades on your scissors, the more blunt-ended your hair will be after you clip it... therefore not so sharp & itchy pokey. I don't know if it's true or not, but it sounds possible.)

If just trimming doesn't satisfy, maybe then try some kind of beard/buzzy clippers, then shave? Magic shave is awesome stuff, about $3.50/ tube around here.

No idea which stores sell it, never found it in the UK except via mail order, though I suspect you'd probably find it in barbers/large pharmacists in neighbourhoods with a high afro-carribean population. I did contemplate asking some friends, but couldnt figure out how to explain what I wanted it for :D

Finally, I'd like to ask the guys who removed the hair from that region of their body if they would recommend it. Can you walk well after? Can you move, exercise, run without feeling uncofortable or without burning your skin?

Depending on how far you (want to) go, definitely. From a personal hygene point of view its worth giving the ole crack the once over. Without getting into the gross out factor too much, I use a lot less toilet roll and am definitely a lot cleaner with less effort (sorry). I'm not terribly hairy anyway, but its certainly an unusual sensation for the first couple of days, I did feel basically damp for a bit but since then have not noticed any difference in my ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound or wrestle alligators.

Only thing I would say is be careful how you apply the stuff, I've ended up being a lot balder than I intended owing to the stuff running into the hair I had intended to keep (didnt want to go totally kojak north of the pole, looks too freaky for my liking).

LOL I don't think you have to be black to buy it, no one will ask.

The reason it was developed for black men is that black guys frequently have problems with irritation and "shaving bumps" (ingrown hairs) due to the texture of their hair - it is more coarse and curly and so as it's growing after shaving, the ends tend to curl back under the skin's surface and viola, ingrown hair. Well, this is more or less what also often happens with pubic hair, regardless of race, since even those of use with the straightest, finest hair on our heads tend to have coarse, curly pubes (I should know...)

thanks for the advice everybody.

Does anybody know which stores sell Magic in Canada?

Can't and WOULDN'T suggest anywhere.

For god sakes, if you do get a hold of Magic, do a test before hand. What people on here don't tell you is that Magic can burn, and burn you very badly ... this is NOT an area you want burnt, believe me.

I'm in Australia, and I got a friend to send me some of this "Oh so wonderful stuff", used it once, couldn't walk for a week, and threw it away. I wouldn't suggest it to my worse enemy let alone a nice person.

Follow the instructions to the word, do a test, and be very, very, very careful.

As a female with sensitive skin and a dancer who needs to constantly keep that area clean shaven I can speak from lots of experience, LoL...

The cremes are a BAD idea if you're even remotely sensitive, and given the area you're speaking of, then yeah, VERY bad idea LoL. I tried that in my general bikini area and had the worst rash I have ever seen(I was also in FL for SpringBreak, just my luck). They don't work for hair other than peach fuzz either.

NO waxing....OUCH!

My ex used the personal trimmer for his entire genital area, and it worked well for him. I use the personal trimmer for mine, including the pertoteneum area such as yours, and have never had a problem with it, even the first time. I found mine at CVS Pharmacies for around 10 bucks, and they last for a while(A friend has had hers for over a year).

As far as your expensive gimmics on TV and in ads...I've found none that work, the only other way I've found is having the hair lasered off, and that's costly.

Good luck!

what trimmers did your ex use? How about the one you're currently using?

He used the "El Cheapo" personal trimmer that you can find at wallyworld.

I use the personal trimmer you can find at CVS Pharmacies for around 10 bucks...mine's the pink one with the eyebrow attatchment, it works better than the other one LoL.

Don't they have any Blue or Black ones...? :D ( I'm still a male  )

In that case, I'll try the trimmers as you said. The probem is that I live in Canada and I don't think here we have as much choice as you've got down there, not at a cheap price anyway.

Ah yes...Canada, very expensive..if it helps any, I found a Canadian Penny and kept it?? LoL..kidding.

Not sure if they do have them in any other colors, but either way it's a personal trimmer going up in between your ass cheeks, so I don't think you'll be showing it off too much to anyone else LoL.

If you go to wally world or CVS and don't find it, PM me and let me know

Also learning about MAGIC SHAVE on lit....I tried it. I am a firm believer. I did the test and followed directions to the Tee cuz of the stories I had heard.

Anyways......It works great.....used it on my abs, chest, ass (including crack and anus).

Never been smoother and it was easy.

I got mine at Albertson's grocery store. I also found it at Walgreens locally. Haven't looked anywhere else. The stuff here is the powder you have to mix up. $1.99 a can. CHEAP and GOOD!!
