Embarrassing Movies

Elvis

Blue hawaii.. Elvis marathons on a rainy weekend. i dont get it, but i think they were supposed to be serious... its more like a comedy to me.

beach blanket bingo. *cringe* yes i still think its fun. they used to come on before creature double feature with godzilla and mothra.

anything with adam sandler.

the early disney movies.. little mermaid, aladin, and mary poppins.

old black and whites.. fred astaire, katherine hepburn, rock hudson, doris day, tony randal.

"why in my day....." wow.. nostalgia runs rampant!

Of all the kids movies out Id have to say ANTS is my favourite. Second best is Chicken Run, then Monsters Inc. But has anyone seen the movie Harriot the Spy? I love that one too but its an actual movie movie, not a cartoon.
As a kid I loved Chitty Chitty Bang! Bang! Only saw it once then as an adult had to buy it to see it once again, now its hidden in the video closet until the next time no one is home again. lol

Well, with the exception of Xanadu? LOL - I don't see any remotely 'embarrassing' choices here.

Can I beat that? Thinking . . . thinking . . . 'Coneheads,' is the only thing I can think of at the moment, but I don't find it particularly embarrassing.

Hm . . . thinking . . . no, Colly takes the cake :D

Well in terms of 'Children movies' there is no need to be ashamed at all. They are perfect and great fun. :)
Best one in my opinion is without any doubt
'Finding Nemo' - brilliant
But there are many others as well:
- Monsters Inc.
- Toy Story
- Lilo&Stitch
- The one with the prince turning into a lama (only know the german title)
- Ice Age
and many many more....

We all should allow the small child in ourselves to come out and have some fun once in a while. Because it's still there, just don't lock it.

We always go to children's movies-

My hubby and I always have, even before we had kids.

We'll still go to children's movies when they are too grown up to go with us (and are quite embarrassed at the fact we're going).

And then when they're in college, they'll go themselves (it will be "OK" to do so again).

When they have kids - well - god, let's not think that far ahead yet!!!

:)

My dad and my brother's senses of humour can be described in one word: toilet.

My dad is so immature when it comes to jokes. He and my brother loved Johnny English. Yes, it was funny, but it wasn't THAT funny!!

Me, embarrassing movies... Tomb Raider 1 (couldn't get through the second one though).

Oh and nobody can claim to be embarrassed for liking a Pixar movie. Pixar is the most reliable film-making studio in all of Hollywood--it is quality.

I like anything with fighting in them. So...Matrices (all three of them, though the first one is the best-made movie), Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, Once Upon a Time in China (or, as when I watched it--Huang Fei Hong<--original name). I don't like Jackie Chan movies though, but I like Jet Li. I can't wait till Hero comes out

Oh, and I also have a fondness for Japanese anime. Actually I LOVE the stuff! I could just sit and watch and watch and watch. I quite like CLAMP manga though it's incredibly cheesy. My favourite has to be Detective Conan, about a 16-year old turned 6-year old detective. It sounds silly, but it's actually really intellectual.

Okay this is weird but I really like those Veggie Tales tapes
oh and Beautician and the Beast

I frequently take my daughter to those teen romantic comedies, and I have to admit I enjoy most of them. I took her to "Mean Girls" and laughed out loud several times.

Yea Veggie Tales!

We bought our kids the "Silly Song Countdown" for Christmas - it is hysterical!

(They have special features - different languages - hidden Easter eggs - it's a great DVD!)

I still haven't recovered from Teletubby shock.

I think we've seen every episode of Blue's Clues at least 12 times, if not more. I've even caught myself singing the theme song a time or two.

Could be worse, my daughter loves the Wiggles. Nothing like singing, "Dorothy the Dinasaur" while working.

Actually I like watching "Bear in the Big Blue House" with her. I get a kick out of Tutter the mouse. :)

Don't Know if anyone's seen it but mine is... Action Force - The Movie

Infact thats where I got my name from!!!

*grin*

Luckily we missed the Teletubbies - kids weren't at the "proper" age at the time to be interested - thank you God!

But Veggie Tales are a bit different -

They are actually religious messages delivered in an, um, odd format!

Such as - Jonah and the Big Fish, Rack Shack and Benny (Shadrach, Mesach, and whatever - lol).

Try one - you'll be hooked!

;)

When I was a mere puppy, I went to see Carry on Regardless. I split my sides laughing....

The local TV station runs a "Carry On" movie every Saturday afternoon, and I watch them religiously. (Time shifting from Saturday afternoon to Sunday Noon.)

Oh, yes! There's an Elvira movie that is sort of like the "Carry On" gang meets "The Addams Family" in an ultra-soft porn flick.

It's all about the double-entendres! :D
