I'm looking forward to being able to wear some different clothes, jeans, boots, etc. I'm looking forward to the pretty fall colors, the smell of fall on a crisp clear sunny day. I'm looking forward to the seasonal holidays of Halloween and Thanksgiving. I'm not looking forward to feeling cold, the diminishing daylight and the absence of the warming sun, high in the sky. I'm not looking forward to seeing snow.

I love cooler weather. Coming from NC to Texas was hard for me because here in TX we don't really get four full seasons. NC you get the whole gamut. :rose:

I will say, though, that for whatever it is that we call "cooler weather" in Houston, it's definitely easier to breathe when the temps come down. Most of the time in the hotter months it feels like you need a snorkel to go outside. Now, at least, even though I wouldn't call it "cool" it's more tolerable.

I'm walking in the 5k next weekend for cancer and that cooler weather will be much appreciated :).

I'm not dreading a thing. It never gets cold here like what I would consider cold.

I am not a hot weather lover at all...I prefer 4 seasons and colder weather...but I lived in Houston for many years...and really miss it though despite the heat...Such a great city...Miss it...

my life...
Because I love my children, I sacrificed years of my life trying to make a marriage work. Thought that I was "doing right by them" to continue forcing a square peg into a round hole.

It doesn't work that way. Kids are not stupid. Better to be honest with them and deal with fallout than continue to propagate a lie or keep them in harm's way for the sake of saying they had two parents.

They're still going to have two parents. Just sometimes those two parents can do a better job of parenting when they're not living together.

thank you! Yes. I'm excited. I'm going to walk instead of run. I'm not running anywhere.. Ever. Fuck the Zombie apocalypse...I'll go down fighting, but never running. Lol

I really dislike freezing cold weather.

Growing up I lived in many places, hot places and cold places. As a child I loved playing in the snow. But as an adult, I hate snow, particularly trying to drive on snow or ice. So I really love warm climates. I moved to Texas several decades ago and I haven't left.

Given that, I do like warm weather, but not blazing hot weather so much. (still prefer blazing hot to freezing cold). Cooler Fall or Spring weather is wonderful. I like walking outside and it feels just like inside. I'm not cold and shivering, and I'm not hot and sweating. I love being outside with the fresh air, and listening to the sounds of nature around me. I love being out on the deck in the still of the morning while sipping my coffee. Or out on the deck in the evening, sipping a cold beer while watching the deer coming back to their sleeping spots.

So I really love the cooler weather of Fall and wish it would last longer than just a couple of months.

So many things! I love the way the light slants this time of year, and the clarity of the air. I love sitting on the patio with my coffee in the morning - I just came in from there, in fact. That's just a start. Not dreading anything except the occasional
ice storm, but I'll think about that when it happens.
