I'm working on an entry for the Summer Lovin' contest. It's gonna be almost like a horror movie. So, I thought Erotic Horror, but that category seems to involve sex with monsters. Am I wrong about that? Sci-fi/fantasy is an option since it's a monster, but I expect quite a bit of violence(not sexualized, of course), so Erotic Horror might be better. Thoughts? Sorry if this was discussed elsewhere, I didn't notice it.

You could always go the direction of one of those sex-oriented "B" movies, like Dr. Goldfoot And The Bikini Machine or some deal where college kids at the beach are menaced by sex-starved alien females or whatever.

The sex will be separate from the monster. But it will have B rated horror movie vibes, and maybe some Supernatural vibes.

Not A Soul is horror, but it's in SF&F. I don't really think the distinction is that important. Tag it as both horror and sci-fi and readers will find it.
That sounds right to me. I'm leaning toward Erotic Horror. I posted other stories in Sci-fi/Fantasy, but the 'monster' was misunderstood rather than evil. This is almost gonna be a slasher movie.

If it's leaning more slasher, I'd probably go erotic horror even if the horror itself isn't erotic. You'll find a more enthusiastic and receptive base of readers there I suspect.

I've written two erotic horror stories. The first one featured two witches as the antagonists. The second one was about a detective searching for a serial killer. So for me, all were human beings, physically. Emotionally, perhaps they were monsters after all.
