Erotic Illustrators & Writers

Hey Rhino
It's great to have you back.

I've actually been drawing again and being a little less anal about it.

well.... look at my AV....I'm not averse to the concept if I can make it look pleasurable rather than sadistic.

:D

Maybe Cloudy can write another addition to the Superstitions Chain?
How the Eagle gets affected by the smell of a virgin?

Just checking in after prolonged lurking.

I'm a cartoonist and illustrator as well as a graphic designer. I'm spending most of my drawing time getting a grip on Japanese Manga style illustration, which is going fairly well. But no matter what I do I'm told it still looks like "my" stuff and not real Manga.

Instead of being disheartened by this, I've decided to take it as a compliment.

I'm currently working with a love triangle of characters who are very fun to draw indeed.

:D

Nice thread, this.

Hey O, I would take it as a major compliment. Post a few things here for us to see.

welcome, Oscuridad,

I figure that unless you are Japanese...then your work is NOT "REAL" Japanese manga...no big thing. We all bring our own history, experience, culture (lack of), technique and vision to our own work.

No need for MORE Manga...there IS need for something new....Oscuridadism.

jonathan
Well said.

And no, not being Japanese it won't really be Manga (unless I can get them to publish it over there). But that's no excuse for not striving for perfection in line form and expression.

I do hope it's not like Dadaism... *cringe*

HEEHEE! i'm leaving that typo!
speaking of which i just did my first anal drawing, in honor of you!
i should have called it imPROBEment!.

jonathan

You should use that in your sig line...lol

Love the drawing, I'm honored.:rose:

on the other hand..."real manga" is not ALWAYS good...even by Japanese. You are correct...we should always strive for improbement.

mastery.

jonathan

:D

That must be the best Freudian slip I've seen in years.

ROFL

I agree on the Manga. Some Japanese ones are awful to look at. Along the lines of: my kid can do that better. LOL

yes, i am very proud of my most recent blunder at the keyboard.

And you should be. It really is a gem and yes, it deserves such a prominent place.

:D

Indeed.

Sorry about that.

I still need to get some select pages scanned.
Which will be soon I hope.

This poster was my second attempt at silkscreen. I used a cut paper stencil adhered by only the ink itself and I did a run of 100 for Lenin's hundredth birthday.

The teacher was appalled.

"I... I can't put this up, my God!" he said. It was 1970, of course. The Vietnam thing was not over. Nixon had said "Opposition to the war in this country is the biggest single weapon working against the U.S." The teacher was already on a list with the FBI, as all subscribers to the (English-language) periodical Soviet Life were. (He taught the Russian language and needed sources for Russian culture.)

"But I'll take them! Can I have thirty?"

There was one in the teacher's lounge on A wing for years.

Aw shucks, thanks, Abs.

The Russian says "table spoon."

Long story! It's pronounced stolovaya loozhka, very roughly. Half the face is Lenin, the other half a bald Stalin. It grabbed people very hard in 1970.

Well I love it. I love propaganda Art too, some great graphics there...even the ones during the Mao years. Awesome work.
