Eroticism

How present is the absent! How palpable is the thing you cannot see, cannot reach! How wondrous is the pull of the unseen

I agree, though I would not call it 'wondrous'.

Suggestion may be one of the most powerful aphrodisiacs because it engages the imagination. A fully revealed image leaves little for the mind to do. The unseen often acquires a greater emotional charge than what is plainly visible.

My wife had some photographs taken many years ago, the erotic nature of those photographs was off the scale. I still look at those photographs and see them as erotic rather than sexual.

She’s always been a very shy, introvert lady, and although quite adventurous in our private life never really been a woman to be outwardly sexy.

Imagine my surprised then, when for my 40th birthday present. She presented me with a portfolio of professional boudoir photographs of herself.

I was completely shocked but over the moon that she had done this for me, knowing how shy she was. Particularly as the photographer was male. There were photographs in nightwear, underwear lingerie, and even topless.

She told me that he did try to persuade her to do completely nude, but she couldn’t go that far.

Eroticism is so very powerful.

Yes, the observer’s mind becomes engaged in the unseen. This is a much more potent interaction.

Shaven and shorn, she comes to us in the rawness of her construction. It is as if something ancient art has flung her, newly formed into the erotic spaces of our minds, this reclining figure

Love her fair skin against the green velvet with a little velvet of her own… great breasts… such a powerful athletic form in soft repose
