EverQuest citizens :) Welcome

/OOC Yes, levels or equipment is no that relevant here since no fight reports would be posted here (unless someone would like to take a role of the mob and whack us around a bit :p)
The story and the people behind the characters are what really matters and it would be interesting how devious or enlighted
we can make them. Umm, I definitely have to think of one where
Ninou will be strapped in chains in all her total nekked glory and
ravaged *grin*. Hey Tick, welcome aboard and I hope you have already discovered how beautiful certain girls in Norrath are lol.
Some of my guildies know about this thread now and i hope to see more ppl coming here as well. Kraz, man forget about equipment and check Ninou out instead lol. Ninou, do you like the group thing with me and Kraz sometime? Might be fun :p

Wheeee!

/OOC I can play again! Got 'The Bitch' (my new PC) built and running smoothly! And I DON'T have those stupid bellbottoms anymore!!! And the thong is back...my guildies will be pleased, lol! Yessssss :)

/OOC ummm love your AV mistress :) such a sensual face and those lips... make a man go dreamy :D
Oh yeah, Kzar why don't you start man. I have to get my mag out of befallen hehe first.

/IC I felt a Call tugging into my mind. It whispered to me with urgency commanding my attention. Having been securely placed atop a hidden ledge above I had to make a choice whether to continue with my quest or gate to the source of the Call. Wondering what could be so important as to call me during my journey I took one of the scrolls hidden in one of those personalized dimensional compartments of my robe. A quick glance at the scroll reminded me of the spell i memorized in the beginning of my training and that brought some of the old memories back. "Now is not the time to go soft" I thought, closing my eyes and repeating the incantation over and over until i could focus on the spot where I was needed to complete the teleportation. A brief shot of energy bolted through my body as I was whisked away into a nether world connecting all our physical worlds. Strange shapes and forms danced in that nether dimension but I could not prolong my stay there and felt my lifeforce being sucked back into Neriak caster guild hall. Meeting me there was my old master, Jhen-Ra, who looked just a bit more tired but otherwise no signs of aging. "Nolan, you have been summoned to matters of great importance. Our grand council has convened and is sending an agent, a certain shadowknight. Our nation needs allies and at the present there were hints and signs from a certain faction in erudin that might be interested perhaps in a coalition. A meeting is scheduled to be placed at a certain time within next few days. The council wanted to send some of our famous necromancers but a shadowknight faction prevailed on someone of their choice. Magic Guilds like us and others were honored by providing some of the personal caster protectors." He sighed. Me and my brothers had a discussion about the whole affair and concluded that each will send his own representative to the meeting. We decided so because undoubtedly, the necromancer guild will send someone and an assassin guild will be represented. But we need to talk in private. Come with me to the library the walls in here have ears." I followed my master to the library in the neriak gate drawing some stares from people I knew and heard about. During our way, I have heard some screams coming from the necromancer hall and shuddered involuntarily, something that was noticed by one necromancer lady who was going there. She glared at me noticing the lack of Innoruuk symbol on my neck I stared back at her ready to take on any challenge if she wanted to. My master waved his hand and we went further without any interruptions. Locking the door behind us, old man weaved a spell magically enclosing our presence from any possible detection. We sat across each other at the desk that was filled with maps of norrath and dots representing areas of interest to Neriak Council. "All right, I'm sorry I had to call on this from your explorations" Jhen-Ra smiled. "But I thought it was time for you to start participating in certain political matters. Some amongst us feel that the meeting is a trap to "uncover" a plot by Neriak to take over the Freeport
which would start a new and bloody war. There is enough evidence to suggest that the alliance between humans and elves from feydark backed by hill dwellers in qeynos have gathered enough forces to use our meeting as a pretext to start a war on us. That's where you come in. You have been in far places and would be well prepared for any sort of surprises that might fall
on our ambassadors." Jhen sipped his nectar drink watching my reaction. I sat a bit dumbfounded because I don't have much skill in negotiations and I prefer to explore the new continents than to sit at the desk with a bunch of people and discuss contracts. I thought about it and then said "Well, I'm not sure what good I can do, but I will be honored to represent our guild." Master smiled and said " don't worry, just follow your instinct and last thing. We have a picture of one of the erudin ambassadors with us. See if you recognize her." He showed me a picture of Ninou.
I stared at it and marvelled at her beauty. Suddenly, I felt very eager to join the expedition. "You will leave with the group early morning tomorrow. Your time until then." Thus dismissed, I bowed to Jhen-Ra and hurried up to tavern nearby to see if I can catch any of my old friends.

/OOC lol hehe making a mess but hell it's fun :) Btw, how's everybody's new year go? I just finally passed 45 ! *hugs* mistress and to mae. Ladies you are the epitome of sexiness
:p

Kregore the second entered the beastlord's guild in Hallas. He had recieved a notice from Field Priest Keven that he was to follow in his father's foot steps and begin his training. Kregore waited in line for 20 minutes before his training could begin, he picked up a wooden baton and began swinging it wildly as if it were a dagger. "Stop Kregore, you have practiced long enough today. To prove your dedication you must go forth and claim a white wolf's skin. Take this rusty dagger and tunic." Kregore ran out of the hall, heading towards Everfrost.

Across Hallas Elbac forced open a door to the bank vault. "Hmmm nothing but a few pieces of wooly fungus and 45 copper." The vault had been owned by a Barbarian who had long ago sailed to Odus but has yet to return." Elbac put the items into his belt pouch and began to run toward his guild leader, ready to give his 30% tribute.

Little did these two men know that soon their fates would clash and neither man would be the same...

OOC: Any major events occur yet I need to know about?

Wilhelmm D'Averam

Finding himself on another boring venture through Antonica, having recently come back from his travels on the far moon (yes, even he now had decided to venture into the mystery), he was informed by a local spy that his presense was required in Halas.

Making haste to reach his hometown, he knew full-well that there was pretty much nothing on the path that he could not take care of. Through the Karanas and Qeynos Hills, into the putrid and rancid dungeon of Blackburrow he ran, back to the Icy peaks of Everfrost.

As he first set foot in his homeland, he felt an unusual calm. The mild weather of Luclin was rather unpleasant for the Barbarian; being back, surrounded by mountains of ice taller than the tallest tree of Faydwer, the largest giant or dragon of Velious, the most foul and gigantic fungus of Luclin; it was like a divine aura of comfort.

Finally, he made his was to Halas, his homeland. Stopping only for a brief moment at the local stores for supplies, and the pubs for a quick ale, he found his way over to the Pit of Doom, for that had been the purpose of his mission. The figureheads of Halas were all to be present there, but Wilhelmm was interested mainly in his trainer, Dargon Mcpherson.

He found him in one of the back rooms, sitting by the Rogue guild leader, Dun Mcdowell. A smile breached Wilhelmm's face, as the long over-due greetings and embraces were expressed. Once a time ago, such a meeting would have been very formal, with little show of emotion from the leaders. However, Wilhelmm, an aged warrior of Halas, had become one of the top figureheads of the Barbarians outside the city. He had achieved much, so none of the formalities that can be seen usually between Master and Student were present. The three could speak like equals, and they did.

Wilhelmm cleared his throat and began "Gentlemen, greeting to you! What do thee know of the important news that was reason for my summoning here?"

to that, Dargon spoke first "As you know Wilhelmm, the races of light have been razzled again, and are beginning to unify. Our sources tell us that they are plotting an invasion of Neriak. It seems that another epic wars'a brewin'."

Wilhelmm, pausing to allow himself a brief smirk replied "Ah, the elves starting a war again eh. Not enough reports of Darf Elf casualties again? I swear, they will not stop until every elf and their mother's dog has slain an Inny (slang term for followers of Innoruk; also Inkie)."

After a quick giggle from all three parties, Dun took his turn to speak "Yes, well be that as it may, our sources tell us that the races of dark are in a rather unpleasant position. Their plot to take Freeport had been unveiled, and did not boil well with the humans, who have now sided with the light races. THe Brute of Ogres and TRolls, while still a major force, is weakening. Furthermore, the Iksars have decided to withdraw from aiding the evil side."

"SO, as is expected" he continued "THe dark elves are desparately looking for allies. SHould we fight alongside the light races, eliminating the dark elves should prove fairly easy."

To this, Wilhelmm interrupted "TRue. However, the elves are desperate for allies. Perhaps they can offer a more favorable bargain for our alliance."

"Yes, this is true." REplied Dargon. "sources say the erudites may join the dark elves as well. This is why you have been summoned here. We need someone to represent the Barbarians to both sides of the war. For that someone, as you have already deduced, we have selected you."

"Your task, Wilhelmm, is to speak to the negotiating parties from both sides. We have produced some scetches of the negotiating parties. From the Light side, you shall speak with Maeltha Lonewing, a half-elven druid of Tunare. From the side of Dark, you shall speak with Starnolan, a darf elven magician, and Ninou Dominitrixx, an erudite shadowknights. THey are your contacts. You shall meet Starnolan and Ninou in the Erudite city of Paineel. Maeltha you will meet in Freeport. the specific locations you shall be given right before you prepare to leave."

After receiving the scetches, Wilhelmm looked through them with interest. The mage was a dark elf, with an excepted apprearance; frail, whitish hair with a face of mystery and wisdom. THe Erudite looked somewhat familiar, as if he had seen her before. Then, suddenly, he remembered that she was the erudite he had seen in the Eastern Commonlands not long ago.

THe Half-elf in particular had caught his eye. Half-elven women were usually a rather marvelous sight, and she was no different. She had bleach-white hair, stemming dont just below her ears. Her face was a paleish-peach color, showing no blemishes of form, highlited by her jade eyes. Her outfit was composed of mostly tight leather, and somewhat revealing, highlighting her well-developed figure.

"VEry well" Wilhelmm said. "I shall go and meet my contacts; I shall start with the half-elf.

"May the Tribunal guide you well Wilhelmm" Dagnor spoke "Remember friend, be as convincing as you can. And note, both sides need us, but we can live without either. So goodluck, and godspeed" On the way out, he received his meeting places. First, he was to meet hte Half-elf at Tassel's Tavern in North Freeport, not far from the local bank.

He knew he needed to look his best for the meeting, for the appearance makes for good negotiation. So, he made a quick stop off to the bank; a place where the locals would be able to touch up and polish his armor. He walked into the bank, found the merchant, and sat waiting, planning his course, and his plan of action/

ooc: PM, just out of curiosity, I'm a bit comfused. You'll be playing both characters then correct?

Also, is our paladin friend (dreadfully sorry, but I cannot recall his alias at the moment; Ninoo's friend) is he still joining us

ic: as he sat in the bank, patiently waiting, he realized that going alone would not, perhaps be the best idea. He knew that he could take take of the negotiation himself. However, he knew how sneaky the elves could be.

He would need a man of stealth to travel with him. To sneak and gather any secret information that he could not extract himself. He needed a partner, a rogue; and he trusted no rogues more than Barbarians.

As he looked around the room, he saw some of the new breed of Barbarians; training, saving, trying fircely to get ahead in the world. A smile beamed across his face, as he recalled the days of his youth. Perhaps one of them was a rogue, and would be interested to travel with him.

So, pardoning the shiner, he stood up, and proclaim "Ye fellow Barbarians, hear me! I am in need of assistance. I need a man skilled in the art of stealth, a courageous and adventurous soul who will travel with me far and wide, on a mission of great importance to us all, a mission from the High Counsel. Whom of ye' brave souls will join me on my journey?

/ooc my loc, currently, is near your Rogue in the Halas bank, looking for a rogue to help me meet with the light side in Freeport. :)

Morning came not too quickly. I dressed up casually since I was "only" a representative of the mage guild which do not have much say in the matters of the neriak grand council. Walking outside into the courtyard right before the warrior guild I have noticed none of the familiar faces. A particular cocky male shadowknight was arguing with necromancer lady about who's the leader de facto of the group. Everyone else was gathered here, including a wizard who would teleport our entire group to the closest point to Erudin. Word was reached last night that Erudin SK faction would feel more at ease hosting a meeting at home as well as scoring a few diplomatic points. The arrogant dark elf faction would have to go pleading instead of commanding for the first time and also we will have to be cautious and move stealthily to get through the city. I looked at the quarreling people behind me who were about to get down to action with the only force stopping them were the official rankings of the mission. Finally, the shadowknight produced a royal decree stamped by the high cleric of innoruuk, literally throwing it into the face of the necromancer. She yielded but her withering gaze told a different tale. I looked at the window of the mage guild and saw my master wave in good luck. Time has finally come. Wizard received instructions and we were told to group up and stand in a circle around the wizard. I hadn't tried to examine the wizard before, but a mark on his hand proclaimed him as another follower of innoruuk. His face was a mask. Eyes were closed and only an occasional twitch of his lips would betray the great deal of concentration required of him in his task. Suddenly a floor was coalesced in a great white circle of energy that beamed enveloped each of us and lifted us into the nether realm. A split second later we were in a small clearing in the dark woods. A clearing was marked by many symbols but i didn't get a chance to examine it all as I felt a trickle of magical energy flowing all around us. "It's a trap!" the necromancer shouted. "Everyone split and try to make it to a secret entrance in a stone maze in the erudin. The mission must be completed! RUN!" Immediately all hell broke lose. Arrows started flying all around us, with bolts of energy striking the shields and armor of people in our group.
Luckily, everyone was fully prepared for such an occasion and in another second everyone went running in a blaze of energy.
Being a rather experienced fellow, I spotted a nice place in a bush a small distance away and shadowed stepped there. Looking back at entrance i saw our wizard frantically casting as he was surrounded by warriors and beasts who tried to get to him. A few others were waving spells at him as well but he managed to teleport somewhere right when his protective shield went down and one of the arrows pierced his left shoulder. Nothing about the armor design or type of spells could tell me the information about our attackers, because basic tactics were used. I murmured an incantation enveloping myself in invisibility, following by levitation and magical speed. Next step was to reach the height of the trees and run along them. Not many people would expect their fleeting enemy run like that and by the time some would see, I would be long gone. We needed a plan and I realized that going to Erudin right now would be suicide. Whoever layed that trap for us would be obviously waiting for us as well. We needed a safe spot. Remembering an old adage:
an enemy of your enemy is your friend, i decided to change course to Paineel and figure out things before the meeting tomorrow. I felt a tingle of pain as I could not contact my groupmates and warn them, because doubtlessly all magical or mental sorts of communications would be tracked immediately. Running like a wind I hoped that I would reach Paineel fast enough to scramble communications and reach my group. Before our leave, we were given rings which would roughly indicate among our group the location of the others. By activating that ring a bit more i hoped my sudden change of direction would give others a clue. I sensed as three of us who were travelling together based on sensors, a shadowknight, a warrior who was protecting him and a cleric stopped briefly but then continued on their way. But, a rogue and a necromancer that were travelling independently obviously understood my maneuver and aligned back as to follow me. A few moments later our group sensing was alerted by a mighty shout of outrage and the three in our group stopped. There were a non-mistakeable sounds of combat, magic and pain mixed with hate so distinctive of our nation, and then all sound stopped. I sighed, as the result of that battle could only mean one thing. There was just three of us left and we were on the run....
