Red Sox sweep the Dodgers.

The Red Sox finished July 2026 with a historic 21-4 record, achieving the highest monthly winning percentage (.840) in franchise history for any calendar month with at least 15 games.

They just traded for catcher Adley Rutschman (Orioles). Gave up a few prospects and Carlos Narvaez who has been a disappointment this season. They gave up top RH pitching prospect Anthony Eyanson.

As long as they don’t give up Franklin Arias for that crappy fielding Zack Neto I’ll be happy. (for now)

Neto strikes out way too much and is an average to below average fielder, I also was ecstatic they kept Arias out of any deals

Red Sox 9th win in a row

After winning 12-11 in 13 innings last night vs. the White Sox the Red Sox beat Oakland tonight 13-1. Payton Tolle strikes out 14 in 6 innings (84 pitches)and Burgos actually got a save. Burgos was called up from AAA as the bullpen was wasted from last night’s game.

Most strikeouts by a Red Sox rookie pitcher:

Roger Clemens: 15 (1984)
Joe Harris: 14 (1906)
Payton Tolle: 14 (2026)
