Exercise thread... who's with me?

Yep yep...those sound like my goals. Count me in. :D

Oh and #4 would be to give up Mountain Dew. *sob*

I already did that about 4 months ago. I never drink anything other than water, unless I am in a resturant (where I don't trust the water!)

Did you go through the caffiene withdrawl? And if so,how did you manage it?

I used to drink a lot of Mt Dew, about 4 cans a day. My sister also gave it up, by order of the dentist. She drank 6 cans a day and it was rotting her teeth.

When I quit drinking it I had more headaches that usual, but it didn't last long. I just took advil and ignored it. It went away and now I feel better because I drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day (usual 12 glasses).

So in short to answer your question. Yes, but not for long. And Advil and just ignoring it!

Thanks for answering, if I go for more than an hour without drinking something with caffiene, my head feels like it will explode. I am trying to cut back though.

Your welcome. I would recommend cutting back slowly also. Especially if you have bad headaches and remember to drink plenty of water.

walked last night and did aerobics this morning. so far i have only missed one day this week because of being sick.

I've been trying to do my exersices........ Knee has been bothering me though. so i've still yet to do them.....

Monday. I'll definetly do them Monday :)
You can all hit me if i don't

Well I've been drinking diet Mountain Dew. *ick* But it is still a caffiene kick.

I suppose another goal of mine should be to drink more water. I never drink water.

Salt is another problem I have. I don't like sweets, I'm a salt eater. Chips, pretzels, popcorn. Those are my weaknesses. :(

MistressHoney Great Thread Hon'!!!

Although by the appearence of that av, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I love looking at the av. I send my support to all who have read and posted on this thread. As a trainer and fellow exerciser, I know how difficult it can be to lose weight and stick with an exercise program. The key is to have fun and enjoy yourself. If you miss a day, do not be discouraged. Just start a new the following day. Feel free to PM me if you need help/and or support. I'll be there for my friends here at Literotica. Yes, it helps if you have support, or someone to call upon. Feel free to call upon me. Thank You for your support of me also.

HUGS and Best Wishes to all.

Goal.........

Eat everything in site, dropped 46 pounds in the last 60 days.

:p :D

Well, day one. Did the exercises, went for a walk, and drank water. Ate lunch and Supper (How they can screw up cooking hard-boiled eggs......)

Well, I can safely say that I, for one, am going to make it, even if it kills my pot belly.....wait....that's the point.......

I'm in. I've been excercising regularly for just about 18 months now - I wish I had started when I was much younger. Between excercise and diet I've lost over 40 pounds in that time.

Did the Atkins diet for a while - it was great while it lasted... but I did eventually plateau on it.

Lately I've been doing the following diet (below) every now and then. You only do it 3 days a week and I can vouch for its effectiveness. The thing is that it is VERY easy to quickly put on the weight again. The 4 days a week that you're not on the diet you do have to eat smart but not as strictly as when you're on the diet.

Most of all I think its the excercise that matters. I needed to diet to lose the weight and I am hoping to lose a bit more but I'm pretty happy where I am (I never do ANYTHING part way though and I am determined to finally get that "6 pack" !!!

As long as I keep excercising and not over-eating I find it easy to maintain my weight.

My excercise program: I run 40 minutes to an hour 3 or 4 days a week and I lift weights the other 3 days - 60 to 90 minutes (changing the weight routine every month or two so as not to get complacent).

This sounds nice, but tuna is awful. I will try this though. Thanks for posting it.

Ah - if you don't like tuna that could be a problem and it does say NOT to substitute. I did the diet without substitutions the first few times and it most definitely worked.

Later on I had tried substituting other fish fpr the tuna - sometimes different vegetables and as long as you're careful about the portions it still seems to work. However, for the most part, I hate to mess with something that does what it advertises - so I'd recommend not substituting the first couple times and see how it goes - then you can experiment.

OhioBBW... you are so flippin' healthy! You *have* to keep posting, just to provide inspiration for us all!

After reading OBBW's post, I know my goal for next week... to increase my water intake. So smart!

But I am still overweight :( I exercise my ass of, but the weight won't go down!
I work out almost everyday though. 2 hours of martial arts, twice a week. I walk when I can and do sit ups and push ups everyday. Plus my job is physically activte as well.

Drinking a lot of water is great, because you feel fuller. Plus it's supposed to be good for your skin. It's also a money saver if you drink from the tab. But it does make you go to the bath more!!! :D

I'm eating an extra large egg nog milkshake right now.. it's so sweet and frosty. lavender doesn't eat ice cream but I forced her into getting a cone and then stared at her while she licked it. I was driving at the time though so we hit the sidewalk once or twice.

Never said:

And what exactly were you thinking of while she licked it dear Never?

Well, I've started thanks to you Mistress!

All of two days in a row, and have the sore leg muscles to prove it!

Goals:

1) 6 days per week 30 minutes a day aerobic, bike or treadmill
2) 3 times a week basketball (relive the glory days)
3) Learn how to run at all, never have so far. 10K goal (its a BIG goal but think of the satisfaction when I make it, considering I can't run more than a lap now)

Man, Lets all keep it going! Maybe we should offer each other rewards for reaching milestones. Now, what would make great incentives?

My plans...

I'm on the Atkins diet and I'm on the second week of the induction diet at the mo. I'm finding it difficult so I plan to start the work out regime next week. I'll start off by going twice a week, as I am so terribly unfit.

I'm gonna go for an hour or so at a time. I'll be doing things like the step machine, the cycling doo dah, the rowing machine and the running machine to start with.

I will certainly be asking the people at the gym to see if I can organise some coaching sessions, as I've no idea how to start really. I find excercise really difficult but I'm definetly gonna do some, as I feel so terribly unfit at the moment.

Oooh, btw, as of yesterday, I've lost 8lbs in 9 days :)

I am with you. I have joined a gym about 2-3weeks ago and going 4nts a week (5 if I can get out of work ontime on thursdays), progressing fairly well. Especially for someone who views exercise like scrubbing the floor or cleaning the bathroom---a chore that has to be done, but a chore nonetheless.

Now that is is very very cold I cant go walking in the park like I have been. I need to get atleast looking a little better for meeting WC and to get my sugar levels down with my diabetes. Its a struggle, and it seems to take sooo long for the results I want (I am very very impatient).

I like it once I get there, and hopefully this thread can help keep my motivation up. My goal is to continue the full 4nts a week and not slack off. Great thread idea Mistress Honey, thanks.

did my exersices today, they fucking hurt Made my eyes water.

But i'm feeling better then i was last nigt now :)

luv2, put on some heavey cloths and still go for your walk...(wouldn't that work? Or is it that cold?)
