They were thanked as the peasants collected what they could to bed down for the night. "Let's press on and find a camp to heal Flish," Said Isep, looking at their friend concerned.

Al'ika nodded. "There's a clearing about a mile from here," she said, seeing it through the trees. Summoning her walking stick, she leaned on it as she led the group.

Flish flopped onto the ground when they got to camp. "It's my leg," he said. "The little bastards were too short to hit me anywhere else, it seems."

Al'ika knelt down and looked at his leg. Fishing around in her pack, she gave him an antidote. "The little bastards' weapons were also poisoned," she added. Once she saw him drink it, she cast a healing spell to close the wounds at least. "The poison should be out of your system by morning," she said.

"Good to know," he said. A minute later, he was throwing up profusely. "Yep, poisoned." he said hoarsely as he recovered himself.

Al'ika nodded. "Let the puking happen, unfortunately. Nothing I can do about it," she said in a tired voice. Casting had really worn her out. She yawned. "Alright, I'll take first watch," she said.

"Are you sure? You look really out of it," said Isep, sitting Al'ika down. "Go lie down. Keth and I have this."

Keth awoke her the next morning to eat. "We look after Flish all night," he said. "Looks much better. Isep say you use too much magic, so we let you sleep."

Breakfast was easy, and Flish managed to help clean up. "Let's do a gear check today," He said. "We might have lost a lot of blade sharpness back there."

"Sounds like a good idea," Al'ika agreed. She was still feeling the effects of last night's casting, and knew once she got back home, she was getting a stern lecture from Hallowbrook, Jester, and Issak.

Camp activities went smoothly, and by nightfall the group was ready to move again. "Last stretch, then the hard part begins," Said Isep, looking ahead to the gates.

Al'ika smiled as she swaggered up to the gate, pulling out the ID of the soldier, having magically altered hers and everyone else's to reflect different persons. She smirked. "Can me and my men be let in? Beds to warm and beer to drink!"

The guard laughed. "Sure, go ahead in. We brought in some real squealers. If you're into that, we don't have that many women in our guard." He ordered the gates open.

Everyone else slipped into the town with her, acting like they damn well owned the place. "Where should we start looking for this rogue wizard?" asked Flish.
