Tarast

Tarast was just cleaning himself when he watched one of the creatures in the cave dash out. Darn it. Where is that female going? She's running while all that wet? What is she thinking?

Tarast took his tongue away from his paw only briefly while he watched the woman run out. Then he went back to cleaning and trying to get dry.

Lao Fan

Lao Fan's eyes widen as one of the beautiful young women rushes out of the cave without a word and suddenly grows wings, leaping into the air and flying over the tops of the trees before he can even think.

He considers his options.

So Father wants me to search the pond for the idol. Obviously, this is just a test to get me to get used to... this curse. Whatever. I'm not buying it. I'm never touching the water again.

But I know the traps need someone with inherent magical ability to cross them. If I could get one of these Visitor babes to help me out, maybe I could even convince them to come back to Wei with me... tell them something like my father could help them...

Anyway, even though Father doesn't want to admit it, Sultana Tempestra is beating us badly in battle. Our philosophers may be greater than Pandira's, but our soldiers are not. Warrior-monks seem not to be any match for the Janissaries, in the end. And Origard is useless, trying to remain neutral and protect their precious Temple of Alexander; apparently, the princess has run off for good this time. She's been missing for a little while now. Certainly throws a random element into the game -- Pandira's scouts are probably going to get her, and it'll be the end for us. Origard will band with them, and crush us. And it's not like the Southern Nations or the Floating Kingdom cares; we're the ants beneath their feet, by comparison. We can't even keep our forests safe.

Aicali is a knockout, though, if her portraits are any judge... I wonder if the son of a Court Wizard has a chance? Hahaha! Who am I kidding. Of course I have a chance! I'm Lao Fan the Unbeatable!

But these are idle fantasies. I'll follow the winged woman before those in the cave think to come after me.

Lao Fan, fleet of foot, runs after the winged woman, just in time to see the fight end, but remains hidden, judging the situation. He sees the young woman who has just been saved... and his eyes widen.

You're kidding.

My father will so not care about the idol if I bring her back!

Lao Fan, having no desire to rush into the conflict at the moment, watches from behind a tree as the winged women tackles and fights the bandits, and considers his options.

"Did you smell girlies, you said. Well in that case it's a good thing a came. Little human girlies are too little for you, Buerhk and you know it. Now if you wanna go back to sleep, that's fine be me. We'll get outta here. But if you plan on hunting down the girlies I'm afraid I'm gonna hafta teach ya a lesson. So, what's it gonna be?"
He had the humongus axe in his right hand, ready to strike at any given moment. Meanwhile, Butch tried to help the stranger up on his feet.
"Hey Patrck" he said "What's it gonna be. I don't know how much longer I can stand being in place that smells of ogre fecies."

ooc: I'd also like to welcome you angel. Nice seeing you here, you gotta be one of the busiest girls on lit :D

Alicia

she was looking with eyes full of tears and fear at her saviour who asked about her condition...." I...I'm.....Are you here to help me?!" she asked

as one of the men got back up " Hey! Relax winged lady....what do you think yu're doing breaking in and concerning yourself with our merchendise? You interested in buying her or something?"

Buerhk

(OOC: Ok... I edited my previous post so Lao Fan hasn't confronted Aicali yet, then. But he's watching the fight with the bandits right now.)

The ogre turns his head to glower at Patrick, and he lets out a snort of derision. "Not these girlies, woodcutter!" he exclaims, raising his bushy eyebrows. "These girlies got big kuushkesu, bounce all over da place. Phurfect for Buerhk to fuck and den snack on."

Still, it's true; they weren't ogre women. Fantasies of big, club-wielding, impossibly voluptuous ten-feet-tall hairy women fill Buerhk's mind, distracting him for several seconds, but he emerges from the reverie and looks down at Patrick, Bruce, and Xevon again. Then... he sighs.

"Man with axe, man with big knife, talking dog. You not even challenge. Waste my time." He glances behind him, toward the cliffside where the girls jumped down (unbeknownst to him), and gets a wistful, melancholy look in his eyes. "Buerhk not having a good day. Be much better fighter tomorrow... watch out then, little man," he adds, glaring maliciously at Xevon. Then, without another word, he lumbers in the opposite direction, heading back toward where he emerged from, beginning to look sleepier and sleepier as he goes.

Some day... I get them... some day... maybe tomorrow... don't feel like it right now...

Not really, basically. Saving her and kicking your ass

~she said as she bent down to give him a glimpse of her cleavage and then pounded the side of his head. She grinned and went back over to her~

Took some karate classes when I was a kid

~shrugged~

OOC:: Sorry if I screwed something up, but yeah, I figured I had already crossed the river and all and just put trees beside the cave and everything. My bad if it changed things.

Lao Fan

Lao Fan watches in awe as the beautiful young woman's wings simply disappear, and then, after distracting the bandit, strikes him barehanded.

I wonder if she even knows how much magical power it would take for a native of this place to create and banish wings with such a seamlessly graceful lack of effort.

I wonder if she even knows she did it!

I wonder what that ass looks like bare...

Reaching up and tugging on his braid to get himself to focus again, Lao Fan frowns slightly.

And that looked almost like one of our martial arts techniques. Who is this woman? Where's she from? Does she know Princess Aicali somehow? But if she's a visitor, then... that doesn't make any sense. I have to listen in and find out what's going on.

Alicia

" Please......if you are here to help....then release me...i cannot stand the shame of being caught up like this any longer..." she saidwhile balding her fists trying to get her hands loose while knowing that would never work like that....

Patrick

"Well now that that's out of the way. You didn't happen to see where those girlies were headed?"
Butch was talking to Xevon who still didn't seem to be fully recovered from his fight with the ogre.
"Yeah, these got plenty more dangerous stuff besides Buerhk" Patrick added.

~she smiled~

Sure, just hold still

~she took a dagger from her boottom and moved her way toward her but noticed a hint of fear in her eye but she just shrugged it off. She moved behind her and cut her bearrings off. She started to rub her wrists. When she was cuytting, she couldn't help but look at her ass and lick her lips but tried to forget about it~

Alicia

She imidiately covered herself afther her hands were free

" Please....hand me my clothing..." She begged pointing with one hand uneasy at the place her clothing was at....and put her hand straight back to cover herself as she blushed and looked over all the men to make sure they were knocked out...

Tarast

Tarast realized she had been gone for a while and let his curiousity get the best of him. He followed her foot prints until they disappeared. She can fly? Yet she swam over here?

He stands up, and his nostrils expand and retract. IT takes him a brief moment to catch her scent and the scent of someone else needing help. They weren't alone, several males were with them, but only one smelled conscious. Tarast took to the trees and headed their way. It didn't take long before he had figured out the oddity of the new female's scent. She had come through here before but this time she had been roughed up.

He quickly got to where they were and saw the men that were knocked out. It took him a second to realize, he was in the tree above the conscious man. Once glance showed Tarast, this was a different sort. This one stinks of magic. Luckily, the magic that was natural to Tarast made him almost invisible to other magic users. (How could he sneak up on a magic creature if it could sense him? One must eat something and whatelse is there in a magic forest?) Tarast knew he hadn't been noticed, afterall, a cat can move very silently. This magic user complicated the situation tho. If all the men were unable to knotice him, he would hop down and help the women but this man might attack.

Tarast looks at the women again, this time noticing how odd the one female looks. He watches them go over towards a colorful pile. Then he realizes what is wrong. This woman has lost one of her skins! The men on the ground must have ripped it off of her. That settles it for Tarast. If this man is one of them, he deserves pain. Tarast hops down from the branch into the opening, walking towards the women. "Is there anyway I can help?"

~she noticed she flinched when he appeared~

Don't worry, he's harmless, well, pretty much anyway.

~she said as she walked over and grabbed her clothes and picked them up and walked over to her and smiled. Apparently, she wasn't the only one that had been bestowed but she wondered why things had changed all together and why she was there. It was as if she was in a total different world

She suddenly realized there there were rips in her clothes and holes. She wondered if she needed new clothes or something because if not, she was gonna have some trouble going into public~

Umm, I just noticed but there are holes and tears in your clothing. Guessed they really ripped'em off...

Lao Fan

"You may use this, if you would so honor me."

A long white kung-fu coat is tossed down at Aicali's feet from above. Lao Fan stands, now shirtless, in the tree, revealing a lean and extremely toned musculature rippling beneath bronzed skin. By the slant of his eyes and his skin tone, it's obvious to the princess that he's from Wei. And she knows Wei, while not currently aggressive, is not exactly friends with Origard.

"Allow me to introduce myself," he says with smooth baritone voice, standing lightly atop a thin branch with amazing balance. "I am Lao Fan, son of Chiang Fan, the Court Wizard of Wei. I noticed you were in trouble, and thought I could assist you. I could never let the Princess of Origard be so humiliated."

If there's anything Lao Fan is better at than magic, it's bullshitting.

He leaps lightly down from the tree and lands easily on his feet; he's not nearly as agile as Tarast, but for a non-magically assisted jump, he's good for a wizard. He glances at the two others, and raises an eyebrow with an easily smile, before settling his gaze on the now-not-winged woman. "I must admit, however, seeing your wings has made me... curious."

"Are you of this world?"

Tarast

Tarast hears the man step out and he wips arround, claws sliding out. He watches each movement the man makes carefully. It didn't take Tarast much to smell the distinct odor of lying. This man wasn't saying everything. "Be mindful mage, I am not going to let you harm these women. Or take them without their permission."

Tarast snarls a bit with the last statement. He backs towards teh women away from the mage. "Be careful of this one. He doesn't say all."

Lao Fan

The young mage sighs audibly and casts Tarast a withering glance.

"Stop wiggling your nose at me so suspiciously. You Beastfolk think your sense of smell can tell you everything." He raises one well-shaped eyebrow. "It's not very friendly of you to pit your word against mine. You should know better. Who trusts a half-animal? I know how your kind can ravage women."

He fails to add what comes next: just as badly as some human men can. That wouldn't help his case very much. He's not lying in this, though. In fact, Lao Fan never lies. Not really, anyway. Actual full-fledged lies rarely work.

"But I shall give you the benefit of the doubt," he says magnanimously, but without any associated melodrama. He turns back to the women. "Please. I swear on my father's honor -- which I assure you is far superior to my own -- I will not harm either of you."

Alicia

She quickly pulls over the coat before the men come over closer then she walks over to Lao Fan and slaps him......." I thank you for the coat and your kindness......but i'm afraid you mistook me for somebody else......my name is Alicia...." She lied and he knew that but she had to protect her cover...what if anyone found out that the future queen of Origard was dressed as a pesant and walked around the woods, caves and cities, and worst, was allmost raped by a gang of men and was seen naked by an outsider and a half beast.....no she couldn't riks this.....she had to keep up pretending to be Alicia....

Lao Fan

He is silent for a few moments, his face still snapped to the side from the blow, his eyes gently closed. He seems to be contemplating something.

You... you bitch... I'll... god damn... I'll...

After taking a deep breath, he looks back, and his eyes are calm and his expression is serious. "I apologize, Miss Alicia. Clearly, I am mistaken. I mean only to flatter, however. Your resemblance to this princess I speak of is uncanny."

Fine. I'll play along. But you'd better do what I want, or...

Something in his eyes tells her he's not fooled.

Alicia

" I see that you don't trust me....fairly well i shall prove that i am not the princess....Surely if you know the princess you should know that every member of the royal family in Origard have a mark of the Kindomes Weapon tatood permanent onto their right shoulder and whimen to the left shoulder." She shows both her shoulders and they are empty.....no marks.....
She didn't lie though it is a custom in Origard for royalties to carry such marks...the problem with her was that as a little girl she was afraid to take that mark and so she ran off and cried...her parants felt for her and decided she'd get the mark later....but they forgot about it from that time....yet to be reminded.....

" See....not the princess..."

Lao Fan

The young man, for the first time, actually looks taken aback. His eyes widen, and he blinks a few times. "Oh. Oh," he says, sounding a little awkward. "Yes, of course. That makes sense."

Damn. Are you serious?

Well, no matter. I can at least make sure she gets home safely so no more bandits try to take advantage of those princess-like good looks, and then somehow get this Visitor back to Wei. I don't see why she wouldn't want to go, unless that damn Beastfolk has already tacked me as some untrustworthy fellow with a hidden agenda.

Which I am, but...

"Again, I apologize for the confusion. It was insensitive of me to assume such things, especially just after those bandits were probably talking about the same thing." He bows, sincere, and straightens. Now that he thinks Aicali isn't a princess, he seems a bit more informal. "Whatever the case... allow me to help all of you. I cannot simply leave you all in the middle of this forest, in the paws of this half-beast." He quirks his mouth disapprovingly at Tarast. "As much as he would clearly like me to do so."

"The outpost town Shunzian is very close to the north. If you would all allow me, I would like to take you there, and from there to the capitol, to show you the splendor of Wei." He smiles easily. "For several reasons. First, I am a man, and I have a duty to take ladies in dangerous places to safety. Secondly, I believe, Miss Alicia, if rumors of your appearance have been spread by those bandits, scouts from Pandira will come looking for you, and they will not be as easily convinced as I. And thirdly..." He shrugs, grinning, and looks to the woman in the Croft outfit. "...in complete honesty, I am astonished by your magical powers, and would like to introduce you to my father, who is known throughout the land as an esteemed and virtuous philosopher-mage. He is greater than any in the northern kingdoms save the High Priest of Alexander, and he compares with even some of the greatest of the southern kingdoms. The name Chiang Fan is known throughout the lands. You can trust me."

Alicia

She smiled to herslef thinking ...Great he bought it , this tricks allways works... " I am sorry I am not interested into going to an outpost...I am heading to Moonlight City where i have important buisiness.....And pardon me for saying so....i have no reasons to trust you enough to lead me there....although this girl here...."She points at the girl in the croft suit....
" Her i could trust and i could even pay her if she would acompany me in my quest for Moonlight city.....may i have your name...saviour..." She bowed before the girl who saved her...

Tarast

Tarast quickly caught on to the desending tone of the man's voice. "Half-beast? First, you try to insult me by calling me such a foul name and then you go accuse me of wanting to take advantage of these creatures? I made it clear I came to help them, not use them."

Tarast speaks, starting to boarder on a growl. "I would rather just make sure they don't get into trouble with some of the creatures of this forest who would rather take advantage of them. As far as I know, you are one of those creatures. You are most certainly not from this forest. I know most things here. They might not know me but I have seen from edge to edge of this woods."

Tarast backs away from the mage, fur standing up. "You don't belong here."
