Fashion gurus..help please!

I like a shoe like this one:

The color is called champagne patent. Its neutral, could be worn with a lot things. And its pretty. And, it has Nike Air Technology. I own one pair of Cole Haan shoes with the Nike Air thing and they were well worth going without lunch for a year. Very comfortable.

Although I swear I saw the same shoe somewhere in a bright yellow matte leather. And I think a yellow shoe in the summer is fun and would look nice with navy too.

p.s. I'm with ITW, I gave up navy along time ago. Although for me it was over once I no longer had to wear a uniform to school... ;)

I think those would look nice, too. :)

Silver is my fall back color when it comes to shoes. White shoes go with almost anything, and black shoes go with almost anything, but I've found that silver goes with EVERYTHING. Silver looks good with every color and its easy to coordinate with jewelry. It also adds a little bit of flash to any outfit, which I love.

My silver flats are falling apart and I am desperately scrambling to find another pair.

 I dont get any of this.

The uni should have a class on this or something.

What?

Yes it does. Look at men's suits. What are you talking about?

Damn. I shouldn't drink wine and try to make a joke on Lit! Bad ITW.

So I wasn't trying to say black doesn't go with navy. I was trying to say, oh wow, did you just say "black goes with navy" - cause that's like saying submission is a gift - the fur is going to fly! 'Cause like, amongst fashion types, this is something people argue about. Also, can you wear black to a wedding. That sort of thing. Funny? Ok, whatever, not every joke of mine can be a winner! :p

Ok, you backpeddling now is funny. :D

Do people argue against this? I guess if you're willing to hunt down orange and red and gold shoes you must really hate the idea. I personally go with a good for the gander thought about this one.

Can you wear black with navy, can you wear white after labor day ... I've seen these arguments get bloody.

I just bought this pair of sandals from Cathy Jean of Brazil the other day in four different colours. (they had a buy one get one pair 1/2 off thing) I got them in black white tan and red. My friend got them in bone and gold. They look amazing on because the thong is hidden between your toes and the cross floats in space. While I'm not much for wearing thongs with a dress (in a 'dressy' manner) these do look cute as can be.

This Latch Ballet Slipper by Nicole is one of my favourite seasonal shoes. I have it in a natural leather tone and in the burnt orange. I wear them with everything and they are comfortable- like wearing nothing at all! The yellow would be smashing with the navy dress you are talking about- especially if you have a little yellow clutch or pouch bag.

Now this Naturalizer shoe is a great idea for the neutral tone concept. It has a great fade away look to it with out being whimsical. The cork heel is very chic and with being a naturalizer shoe, you could run a marathon in it with little trouble.

Go shoeless. It's carbon neutral and the only animals harmed will be the ones you step on.

>LOL!

I have worn black to a wedding. It was the bridesmaid dress the bride picked out though.

okay, I can't get the multi-quote to work, so just to be extra annoying I decided to create another post just to inform y'all of such. :D

All i can say is that anyone that can wear yellow or orange shoes must have really small feet. You put those friggin things on my size 10's and you might as well just call me fucking Big Bird.
