Favorite movie quotes

The title of this movie? And which character said it?
and this is the quote...

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

My additions I wish he had made were as follows- "Let my daughter's friend go also. And hope that my daughter or her friend doesn't request it, because now that I am aware of you, if they want me coming after you despite all promises otherwise, believe me, I will."

I don't have Bryan Mills' skills IRL, but if I did and I became aware of a human trafficking ring... I'd gladly indulge in taking down such organizations. Or helping law enforcement do it as applicable. Staying realistic. Asking them to ignore the Punisher costume I might wear at times. :)

Dewey Wilson: [Ending voiceover] In arrogance, man knows nothing of what exists. There exists on this earth such as we dare not imagine; life as certain as our death, life that will prey on us as surely as we prey on this earth.

Yes, in the novel it is at the beginning and then again at the end.

SPOILER ALERT!!! You have been warned!!!

At the end of the movie, with Julie Harris narrating, I think it is now Eleanor who is walking there alone.

The 1999 version was terrible, with a lot of new but unnecessary aspects added. Jan de Bont should stick to movies about tornadoes and speeding buses.
Even Liam Nielson couldn't save that one.

That movie is under rated. Have you read the book? Even better, I loved the character of Wilson

I've read the novel twice. Fantastic book. "A devil on one of me shoulders, an angle on the 'tother."
The first time I read it I was in my early teens and just liked the "werewolf stuff" rereading it when I was older I appreciated the Becky and Dick marriage on the rocks, Dick being a corrupt cop, but to keep his elderly father in good care. Wilson's love for Becky and the way the grizzled old bastard stayed one step ahead of the pack

The scene where he's outside Becky's house with the M11 auto pistol and sees the wolves and draws on them was well done.

Then the politics of the pack, the disgraced father returning to give his life to save the rest of the pack, and he and Dick's roof top confrontation.

Oops, sorry, getting carried away. Streiber also wrote the Hunger which was excellent

“I’m Hub McCann. I've fought in two World Wars and countless smaller ones on three continents. I led thousands of men into battle with everything from horses and swords to artillery and tanks. I've seen the headwaters of the Nile, and tribes of natives no white man had ever seen before. I've won and lost a dozen fortunes, KILLED MANY MEN and loved only one woman with a passion a FLEA like you could never begin to understand. That's who I am. NOW, GO HOME, BOY!“

Never saw the movie, but I like the line. Perfect ending for a horror movie.

"Can we go HOME now?"

An absolutely NOT famous quote from an all time famous film: Jaws.

For context:

Two men in the hours just before dawn set out to capture the killer shark by hooking off a pier with a holiday roast as bait.

The shark takes the hook, pulling the chain latched to the pier. The pier breaks, one man spills into the sea, being drug along on the piece of pier.

He swims madly back towards the pier as his friend loudly encourages him, "Don't look back, Charlie, just SWIM!"

Charlie makes it back, his friend grabs his hand.

Charlie is pulled to safety just in time.

An awkward silence sits between them for a few moments.

Then, Charlie speaks, his voice soft but urgent:

"Can we go HOME now?"

I use this line often, with the same inflection and sense of despair and exhaustion, whenever I'm having a really bad day.

Mr. Grey: Do you really want to be my secretary?
Lee Holloway: Yes, I do.
Mr. Grey: This isn't just about typos, tapes, staples, and pencils, is it, Lee?
Lee Holloway: No, sir.

--Secretary. One of my favorite erotic movies.

Interesting that he has the same name "Grey" as the character in the EL James series.
