Favorite movie quotes

“All those moments will be lost in time… like tears in rain.” – Rutger Hauer, in Blade Runner. Think how poignant that line is, and what it conveys in just a few words. One of my favorite movies.[/QUOTE

Possibly Harrison Ford's best movie, but it got lost among all the Star Wars and then the Indiana Jones hype.

Death, by stereo!
You don't have to beat me, Michael. You only have to keep up.
Initiation's over, Michael. Time to join the club. (Lost Boys)

Excellent choice. The Lost Boys references in What We Do In The Shadows made me so happy.

"Why is it always ducts?"
"I'm not doing this! That episode was badly written!"
"Having once used the silk rope... never again be content with hemp."
"Hey, do you know the way to Shell Beach?"
"Victims, aren't we all?"

At one point Ford was offered the role of Dallas in Alien, he refused it because after Star Wars he didn't want to be type cast...he then ended up doing Blade Runner...had he done Alien he would have been in three of the biggest sci fi movies in history.

Also...at one point the man who played Chewbacca (Matthew?) was tagged to be the guy in the Alien suit...had things worked differently, Chewie could have killed Han in Alien

Yeah, I'm not a geek at all....nope

Regarding Harrison Ford in general...not his best role, but it was something to see him play a villain opposite Michelle Pfieffer in What Lies Beneath

I am a huge James Bond fan. So many good quotes from all the movies.

Some that comes to mind

Live and Let Die

Sheriff JW Pepper says: "you ever think about getting a driver's license boy!?"

Or

Goldfinger:. Bond:" Do you expect me to talk?"

Goldfinger:" No I expect you to die!"

Or the ever classic:. My name is Bond, James Bond

Personally I like Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnen, and Daniel Craig as my top three bonds. The others are ok.

Yes, and I'm not a big Star Wars fan at all, I just don't enjoy them. I still think Blade Runner's maybe the best SF movie ever. I have been enjoying The Man in the High Castle tho, that's not bad, but as a series, it has a lot more room to run with all sorts of detail that you don't in a movie, with it's time limits.

Same with Game of Thrones. The books didn't do much for me, I stopped reading after #3, but the series was great.

Captain Renault:
What in heaven's name brought you to Casablanca?

Rick:
My health. I came to Casablanca for the waters.

Captain Renault:
The waters? What waters? We're in the desert.

Rick:
I was misinformed.

You see, in this world there's two kinds of people. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

There's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses.
