I find it very disconcerting to sit here eating breakfast and drinking tea, and read about people getting rat-arsed on wierd drinks.

I was 22 the last and only time I ever got drunk. I was so ill, I vowed I'd never do it again. One of the few things I promised myself that I stuck to.

I haven't had a drink in almost a month now. Just diet coke. Docs orders. Not because I drink a lot, but simply because it don't go well with current meds. So Mat has to be a good girl. I actually don't find it difficult.

I hope all you lovely people don't feel to bad in the morning when you wake up. I'll order black coffee, various fruit juices, hot towels and a single shot of neat vodka for SJ.

At a bar - Alabama Slammers, the drink though the shot is good too.

At home - Southern Comfort & Mountain Dew. I don't remember who it was that first convinced me to try whiskey & Mtn Dew, a horrifying concept, but they go well nicely. Bourbon goes even better.

LOL... mine is Southern Comfort and Diet Mountain Dew. Sometimes mixed together, sometimes chased.

Long Island Iced Teas are what usually do me in when I'm drinking, but I love the sweet drinks as well. Strawberry daquiris I could slurp down at an alarming rate.

erm... straight vodka on the rocks...but its gatta be grey goose if its plain...
a dash of blue caracuo or midori for flavor every now and then...
ofcourse, theres always delicious, thick stout...mmmmmmmmmm LOVE IT.

I'm pretty much a beer person.

I find a decent pub (a lot of them here in TO). Start around five, having dinner first. A pint and hour until closing time. I'm usually pretty well oiled by the time the place closes.

Make nice with the bartenders and wait staff, if they're female and cute, which they usually are. Watch the patrons, occasionally write down something in my idea book.

It's a good time.
