rump lawyers meet with Justice Department officials

It comes after Trump's lawyers requested a meeting with Attorney General Merrick Garland last month, amid fears from his lawyers that the coming weeks could bring a possible indictment of Trump regarding his alleged efforts to retain materials after leaving office and obstruct the government's attempts to retrieve them.

An employee at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence drained the resort’s swimming pool last October and ended up flooding a room where computer servers containing surveillance video logs were kept, sources familiar with the matter told CNN.
While it’s unclear if the room was intentionally flooded or if it happened by mistake, the incident occurred amid a series of events that federal prosecutors found suspicious.
the equipment wasn't damaged but prosecutors have already been questioning people about the incident in regards to potential attempts at obstruction.
it definitely looks suspicious, though, given timelines:
Agents first subpoenaed the Trump Organization for Mar-a-Lago surveillance footage last summer, before the August search by the FBI. But as more classified documents were found through the end of last year, investigators sought more surveillance footage from the Trump Organization, sources tell CNN. That included an additional subpoena after the FBI search in August and a request from the Justice Department for the Trump Organization to preserve additional footage in late October, according to one of the sources.

what's so exasperating, is that (without further public information) either scenario is so ridiculously possible given trump's involvement

CNN reports the special counsel's office is — in addition to Trump himself and his body man Walt Nauta — focussing their obstruction of justice investigation on a Mar-a-Lago maintenance worker.

This worker, who was not named in the report, was said to have aided Nauta in moving boxes of classified documents prior to the August search. The same worker was responsible for draining the pool and flooding the IT room.

Never mind all that, did anyone see Biden trip over a sandbag?

Donald Trump has been here before — 35 years ago — with an investigation. Then a flood in a room with evidence.

It happened when auditors in New York City spent two years probing more than $3 million in unpaid rent the city was expecting from Trump’s Grand Hyatt hotel from operations in 1986.

That flood was detailed in David Cay Johnston's 2016 book "The Making of Donald Trump," and reported by CBS News at the time in the context of then-candidate Trump refusing to release his tax returns, purportedly because he was being audited. It said the two-year audit of Trump’s hotel from the late 1980s involved “stonewalling, disorganization and obfuscation at every turn.”
“In September, 1988, the Hotel informed us that it could not locate seven of the twelve monthly general ledgers, because they ‘were discarded after they were severely damaged by water when the room in which they were stored was flooded,’” the report said.
suspicious and suspiciouser ;)

Trump Mar-A-Lago: FBI Reportedly Skipped A ‘Hidden Room’ And Locked Closet In Search For Documents—But Prosecutors Were Asking About Them

https://www.forbes.com/sites/alison...utors-were-asking-about-them/?sh=3b8039d87d46

So the FBI, who the MAGAts and RWCJ "members" claim is out to get the corrupt orange traitor, waited over a year to get the classified documents back, gave advanced notice that they were coming for the classified documents, (not a raid) and then failed to check a secret room and a locked closet when searching for classified documents at Mar a lago???

Sounds like the FBI was protecting the corrupt orange traitor.
