Ferguson Neverending

Roll your eyes all you want... Up into your head, WWE-Undertaker-style, when you die after a cop shoots you.

Before you get mad at me, I'm not assuming you do anything the least bit illegal, or forget a child-support payment, or anything! I'm saying Police Officer X would have shot you dead for literally no reason at all. (As CBS ads count down the weeks of Letterman's show, waiting for that to be the top reason Police shoot civilians on his final list.)

As for me? I have my high school diploma, & have never even been suspected in anything. That's why I won't leave my residence without at least one relative this week: I need people to defend my character &/or body from any & all potential murderers (which means any & all... anyone these days).

No kids were yet around except about 20, who looked like they were waiting for police to do something. The cops, on the other hand, were in full riot gear, marching toward any small social clique of student.

The riot police were already at the bus stop on the other side of the mall, turning buses that transport the students away, not allowing students to board. They were waiting for the kids.…Those kids were set up, they were treated like criminals before the first brick was thrown." With police unloading busses, and with the nearby metro station shut down, there were few ways for students to clear out.

According to eyewitnesses in the Mondawmin neighborhood, the police were stopping busses and forcing riders, including many students who were trying to get home, to disembark.

Cops shut down the local subway stop. They also blockaded roads near the Mondawmin Mall and Frederick Douglass High School, which is across the street from the mall, and essentially corralled young people in the area. That is, they did not allow the after-school crowd to disperse.

As Meghann Harris put it, "if I were a Douglas student that just got trapped in the middle of a minefield BY cops without any way to get home and completely in harm's way, I'd be ready to pop off, too."

I hope that the companies, that buildings and business were destroyed by the animals tell these cities "Fuck you" were not rebuilding.

a simple solution is for the national guard to open fire and shoot these evil monsters looting and burning

Asshat, I think one or more of the cops committed murder. that guy being a criminal doesn't excuse what they did and the police need to be held accountable.

also, the police chef ( ) is black
the major is black

obama is kind of black
holder is shit black cuz its a criminal

the point is, your mentally fucked up kind want to reward the animals for burning and looting.

intelligent people want to hold the cops responsible. also, the major and police cheif, need to be terminate (with out pay, benefits, or pension) as they are part of the problem.

wake the fuck up, and remember that your ass isn't a hat
Those companies, their employees, those officials and officers would all end up on welfare, sucking the government tit which you have to pay for.

Nice plan.

Has no plan. Would require a brain, which NEM's proven repeatedly to lack.

Also, doesn't pay for anything. Has proven to suck, both from the government claims others suck from & overall sucking in general, just like how it sucks they reap benefits that have increased since people they repeatedly claim here to hate having in power.

Surprise! The police have been harassing and provoking the students, after the murder of Freddie Gray

The Real News has obtained documents from an anonymous source that suggest a pattern of harassment over the past two weeks since the death of Gray. Police officers have been arresting mostly young african american students after they got let out of schools and after they refused police orders to get on the bus and go home.

According to the Baltimore Police arrest reports acquired by THE REAL NEWS, officers arrested teenagers as young as 14 and 15 years old.

According to the documents, Police were asking students which bus they were waiting for. When the bus arrived and students didn’t board, presumably in an act of protest, the police officers placed them under arrest for trespassing and loitering on MTA property.

Many students yelled back. For example, one 16 year old girl who we won’t name defended her cousin, calling the police “fake […] y’all don’t have to lock her up,” she said. While it’s unclear whether those sorts of arrests repeated themselves on Monday and maybe even triggered the uproar, it’s very likely that it contributed to the deep sense of anger and frustration that has rocked Baltimore since the death of Freddie Gray.

Skewed narrative

Police are tossing flashbang canisters, and it starts a fire at the library.
The police blame the demonstrators, and say it was a molotov cocktail.

Tactics and weapons from Occupy Wall St. and Ferguson are being used.
Smoke bombs, tear gas, pepper bullets, rubber bullets, and the armored
vehicles are rolling out. Helicopter and drones.

Truth

The demonstrators do care about where they live.
The gangs were keeping the peace.

The people that are protesting Freddie Gray's death, are not thugs.

Four thousand people protested peacefully.

Drunken Baltimore Orioles fans heckled the demonstrators, and were aggressive toward the protesters.

It was a considerate and compassionate choice, to close the game to the public.

Benji Hart: Baltimore’s violent protesters are right: Smashing police cars is a legitimate political strategy.

I do not advocate non-violence—particularly in a moment like the one we currently face. In the spirit and words of militant Black and Brown feminist movements from around the globe, I believe it is crucial that we see non-violence as a tactic, not a philosophy.

Non-violence is a type of political performance designed to raise awareness and win over sympathy of those with privilege. When those on the outside of struggle—the white, the wealthy, the straight, the able-bodied, the masculine—have demonstrated repeatedly that they do not care, are not invested, are not going to step in the line of fire to defend the oppressed, this is a futile political strategy. It not only fails to meet the needs of the community, but actually puts oppressed people in further danger of violence.

<snip>

We need to clarify what we mean by terms like “violence” and “peaceful.” Because, to be clear, violence is beating, harassing, tazing, assaulting and shooting Black, trans, immigrant, women, and queer people, and that is the reality many of us are dealing with daily. Telling someone to be peaceful and shaming their militance not only lacks a nuanced and historical political understanding, it is literally a deadly and irresponsible demand.

The political goals of rioters in Baltimore are not unclear—just as they were not unclear when poor, Black people rioted in Ferguson last fall. When the free market, real estate, the elected government, the legal system have all shown you they are not going to protect you—in fact, that they are the sources of the greatest violence you face—then political action becomes about stopping the machine that is trying to kill you, even if only for a moment, getting the boot off your neck, even if it only allows you a second of air. This is exactly what blocking off streets, disrupting white consumerism, and destroying state property are designed to do.

Baltimore protester’s creepy arrest on live TV prompts concerns of ‘blackbag kidnapping’

An activist’s arrest on live television is prompting accusations that police “kidnapped” the college student.

Joseph Kent, a 21-year-old Morgan State student and civil rights activist, was telling demonstrators to disperse Tuesday night after the 10 p.m. curfew as a line of police officers stood by in riot gear.

CNN was broadcasting live when a National Guard armored car drove directly toward Kent and some of the officers pushed him behind the Humvee, which drove off.

The camera followed the armored vehicle, leaving many to conclude Kent had been shoved inside.

“They ran out and grabbed him … and then arrested him,” reported CNN’s Chris Cuomo.

A local attorney said Kent had apparently been booked into jail but was not among those who will be presented for bail on Wednesday.

So arrest and disappear the leaders, sounds like Mexico.

Where are the mia copas from the police and news outlets over the "credible threat" that gangs were united to take out the police?

Kent was spotted in footage on CNN on the evening of 28 April 2015, shortly after a temporary 10 PM curfew was implemented to impede ongoing civil unrest. Kent is seen standing alone amid police activity, then a black police humvee drives into the shot, temporarily blocking Kent as he is surrounded by officers. When the vehicle drives away, Kent is nowhere to be seen:

Online reports are swirling that Freddie Gray had spinal surgery shortly before he died in police custody, and collected a payout in a settlement from a car accident.

"...court records examined Wednesday by The Baltimore Sun show the case had nothing to do with a car accident or a spine injury. Instead, they are connected to a lawsuit alleging that Gray and his sister were injured by exposure lead paint."

Paperwork was filed in December allowing Gray and his sister, Fredericka to each collect an $18,000 payment from Peachtree Settlement Funding, records show. In exchange, Peachtree would have received a $108,439 annuity that was scheduled to be paid in $602 monthly installments between 2024 and 2039.

In her documents, Fredericka Gray checked "other" when asked to describe the type of accident. She also said that the date of the accident was "94/99" and that she was a minor when the case was settled.

In his documents, Freddie Gray checked "work injury, medical malpractice and auto accident" as the type of accident. When asked to explain, he also wrote something that is unreadable. He also wrote something unreadable when asked if he was a minor when the case was settled.

Both cases were filed at the same time by a New Jersey law firm.

The Free Republic website said Wednesday that Gray's "life-ending injuries to his spine may have possibly been the result of spinal and neck surgery that he allegedly received a week before he was arrested." The article also said the injury was a result of a car accident and cited thefourthesate.com as the source of information. The story did not cite any court records.

Free Republic has since removed the story from its website and could not be reached for comment.

Snopes has its say

That rumor appeared almost simultaneously in three places: The Facebook page of Baltimore-based Fox affilate WBFF, the Conservative Treehouseblog, and the Fourth Estateblog.

FOX TV news said something that was not true ? You don't say ! /end gsgs comment
However, what the Baltimore Sun turned up in pulling court records was a lawsuit involving Freddie Gray that was filed against a property owner over physiological damage caused by lead-based paint:

Whether that case is related to the one cited in the spinal surgery rumors is uncertain.

There are 44 total examples in the Maryland County database involving individuals named "Freddie Gray," twelve of which were civil cases. Among them was a divorce case involving "Freddie Gray, Jr.," adjudicated in 1994. (Gray, who was born in 1989, would have been around the age of five at the time of that case.)

Did Harvey Levy get his spine severed by police?

NO, HE DIDN'T

Yup. Just like Ferguson, these things are deliberately constructed from the get-go.

No accidents. No vacuums.

we need more welfare .... poverty runs rabid and we are too lazy to do a damn thing to fix it

I believe the words you were meaning are that it runs rampant (not rabid), & you are the only one lazy, staying at home & doing nothing. I, on the other hand, am just back from my second trip out today (this one in a vehicle, the other on foot), & that's only because I am afraid of either being attacked by a rioter or a police officer who in most cases is the reason for the former.

Where are the mia copas from the police and news outlets over the "credible threat" that gangs were united to take out the police?

Can you be certain that is not their intention? They have said it's not, but do you find them to be completely credible? The gangs have said they want to protect against police brutality. Can it be their definition of that is to kill as many cops as possible? Among certain groups, killing somebody you dislike is described as self-defense.
