As a US Senator, he votes on 28% of the bills put up for a vote. This is the lowest percentage of the entire Congress.

He got a corrosive profile in last month's Atlantic from former AND CURRENT staffers. He's obviously in a deeply disturbed mental state. If you think Biden's condition was hidden from the public, consider Fetterman's handlers:

• He has routine crying jags in the office that last hours at a time
• He has yelled at constituents for no reason
• He has "delusions of grandeur", such as when he told the press that NOBODY knew more about the Israel-Gaza situation than HE did. What special insight does he have? He smugly said he watches more TV than most people. Oh.

His staff says his mental instability is far worse this time than it was when his highly publicized episode in 2024 became public. His staff says they're trying their best to hide it this time because Fetterman got so upset the first time his condition was made public.

The guy is obviously unfit to hold office right now. But we live in the newly forming Dark Age of America, so that's not immediately disqualifying.

The decision to end the shutdown when they did (before Thanksgiving & Christmas) wasn’t the worst thing ever, as most of the Democratic demands / benefits related to the shutdown can be salvaged with enough political savvy and enough outcry from the public.

The recent elections indicated that the Democrats are in a strong position politically, so there was / is less need to make painful political points to the majority of Americans. I believe Americans “get it” by now - with the shutdown helping bring things into focus. It wasn’t a total waste.

I would also say that each local politician knows their constituents and how they are feeling about particular issues (the shutdown and health insurance premiums, etc). When Fetterman’s constituents start getting on his ass over health insurance premiums, etc, in a month or so, I would expect some movement from Fetterman (and that goes for those seven other Democrats and DonOld & the MAGAt Republicans).

Fettermanchin DOES have some cover for his vote to end the shutdown, as seven other "moderate Democrats" (one "Independent") also voted to end it, but he will definitely sabotage the Democratic Party on a more significant issue (universal healthcare?) in the future if he (and maybe some others) isn’t primaried and replaced by someone a bit more progressive.

The country seems ready for REAL populism with a progressive bent, so the Fettermanchins of the Democratic Party need to go (and I’m a fairly moderate Democrat saying that).

I care what he wears. He represents the will and needs of his constituents before the entire US of A and if he dresses like a slob that rubs off on them.

I think he'd look good in a fawn camel-hair car coat over charcoal slacks and a nice wing collar shirt (in white of course). Other than needing a clip-on tie for when he's on the floor, he'd look great and it would go with his personality and face/body structure.

It would certainly elevate his appearance from his usual hoodie and shorts game.

From the very beginning, Fetterman recognized that shutting down the government was a no-win tactic. Schumer and the progressive Democrats pulling his strings thought the shutdown was “getting better for us every day”, but they were wrong.

The economy took a hit, air travel is a mess, and SNAP beneficiaries faced uncertainty and delays, all because your party picked a fight it could never win.
