Fetterman increasingly alienating himself from the Democratic party, hanging out with MAGAs and trump

He could wear a brown leather vest or jerkin over a black turtleneck sweater. Or anything but another boring suit like all the puppets in government.

He's required to wear a jacket and tie when on the floor of the chamber. It's why he mostly votes from the cloakroom doorway, it's not considered being on the floor.

He really could pull off the "Philly wise guy" bruiser look and it would set him apart without falling afoul of the rules.

Manchin and Sinema are now irrelevant. Fetterman will eventually fall into that same category.

I remember not too long ago how D's were falling to their knees from Fetterman love and R's were foaming at the mouth over how he wasn't mentally fit enough to be a Congressman because of his stroke.

My, my, my, how the tables have turned.

It’s not so hard to understand really.

If you understand this Prager U talking point then you should be able to easily understand Fetterman.

Yes, everyone's entitled to change their minds about which party they support. Is Fetterman doing his best to reach out across aisles and potentially change minds, or trying to make sure he gets votes from enough republicans to keep him elected when his term is due, or simply deciding his values now align more with deplorables? Strokes are well-known to trigger personality changes but if it is the latter then he is such a freakin' disappointment. If he is just being true to his original intentions of doing his job trying to find common ground, great, but bannon and boyle? really?

Fetterman spotted with Bannon at DC MAGA hangout: Report

Having met with trump at mar-a-lago in January, he's now seen hanging out with bannon and dining with breitbart nob matt boyle in an established maga restaurant in DC.
well, Fetterman has honor and is a respected leader where democrats are shift schisters

sometimes it takes a massive movement for a person to wake up and realize how wrong the left is

Such a ridiculous rule is an example of the fossilization that will eventually be smashed to bits.

The suit evolved from military uniforms. What streetfighters wear now in rallies, riots, etc. could eventually replace the suit, something that can be washed by hand or machine and is cooler in a warming climate.

He literally saved the party from itself and most of them don’t even know it.

From the very beginning, Fetterman recognized that shutting down the government was a no-win tactic

šŸ™„

BabyBoobs "thinks" that ā€œshutting down the government was a no-win tacticā€???

šŸ¤”

BabyBoobs is either too drunk or too senile to remember that the massive election wins for the Democrats happened DURING the shut down - and that the issue of health insurance costs (and DonOld & the MAGAt republicans’ cruelty) was put in the spotlight - and that the Democratic Party showed some fight (which many Americans - Democratic AND "Independent" - demanded).

šŸ˜‘

šŸ‘‰ BabyBoobs 🤣

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Side note:

The decision to END the government shutdown was where / when things entered the cost / benefit analysis stage - with arguments to be made by competing factions within the Democratic Party about the most beneficial path forward for America and the Democratic Party. The jury is still out regarding who will be proven right about ENDING the shutdown.

Today's business suit is an adaptation of "mourning clothes" which are historically considered a sign of respect. Street wear isn't a sign of anything except laziness and shoddy upbringing. Or at least that's my opinion, YMMV.

He's been pretty straightforward in interviews that he still considers himself a Democrat and that his views haven't changed at all.

It only looks like he's moderating his stance because the Liberal (D)ipshits are frothing at the mouth like the rabid skunks and are getting worse every day.

The Democrats got nothing they demanded, and government employees, air travelers, and SNAP beneficiaries certainly don’t consider the 41 day shutdown a positive experience.

One of the big winners in last week’s election realizes how foolish and futile it would be to continue a fight that Democrats cannot win.

BabyBoobs (an ignorant MAGAt) can’t read for comprehension (which tracks).

šŸ˜‘

Democrats had MASSIVE election wins DURING the shutdown. AND the issue of healthcare has been put in the spotlight thanks to the shutdown. AND DonOld & the MAGAt republicans’ cruelty HAS BEEN FURTHER put in the spotlight thanks to the shutdown. AND the Democrats showed some fight with the shutdown.

So worth it.

Nah, BabyBoobs was right in their other post: Fetterman and the others ā€œcavedā€
Could be more nuanced. @butters noted it and WAPO had an opinion piece on it. That is, the dem senators voting to end aren’t running again. So perhaps they were selected to end the pain ahead of the holidays and the other dems could shake their fists and still rightly claim repubs, except MTG, don’t care about people only money.

Of course, repubs probably see letting the subsidies run out as a way to finally kill Obamacare. Problem is, they have nothing in the pipeline to replace it and will pay the price at election time. Note speaker Johnson dodging any promise to have a discussion about healthcare.

The response you quoted was mocking BabyBoobs.

My nuanced take on the whole matter is in the same post, below that mocking jab at BabyBoobs.

I have no idea how / why you omitted the rest of that post.

@butters did make some good points and ask some good questions,

As far as ā€œthe dem senators voting to end aren’t running againā€: some are retiring, but others just aren’t up for re-election in the 2026 midterms.

I’m about 50/50 on ending the shutdown, but I’m 100 percent positive that the Democrats forcing DonOld & the MAGAt republicans to shut down the government over the health insurance crisis AND DonOld’s authoritarianism / corruption was a winning choice.

Skimming happens. And your second comment was more directly related.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) was hospitalized on Thursday after suffering facial injuries from a fall during a walk near his home in Western Pennsylvania.

According to a Fetterman spokesperson, the Pennsylvania Democrat was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital ā€œout of an abundance of caution.ā€

Hopefully, the fall knocked sense back into him.

Did you see that the guy who played Balki in Perfect Strangers, Bronson Pinchot, fell down a flight of concrete stairs two days ago and posted a grisly picture of his face on Instagram? He said he was okay, just tired.

The entire internet shamed him into going to the hospital for stitches and a concussion check.
