Final Fantasy VII (Shinra)

*Traust was relieved to hear that Reeve had not been a cruel bastard that Akira was making him out to be. He smiled as he finished his chips, free throwing them into the trash can as he looked back to her.*

So, what do you think of this whole "AVALANCHE" threat? I think Rufus is just way too paranoid. He's taking too many precautions.

Akira had never once ment to make him sound like a bastard, she rather liked Reeve, but just didn't want to be too close because of past experiences.

"Avelanche? Sounds more like he's focusing on a common 'enimy' so that to distract others from what he's really doing. That way he can spend all the money he wants and anything he does will be in the good of 'the city' since he can blame any destruction on the 'terrorists' extreamists yes, but I do not believe they are completely terrorists, at least not yet. What they might do if pushed to become desprate, I do not trust. Anyone can kill"

Indeed, Rufus is spending all the expenses on whatever he wishes, and blames it on terrorist attacks. I find it downright underhanded.

*Traust stood up as he cracked his knuckles, a yawn and a stretch following the cracking. He smiled as he looked down to her, she was attractive, no doubt, but he wouldn't hit on her, at least not unless she had made the first move. Maybe he would go into the slums to that 7th Heaven bar. He had hear they served to everybody there, and it was very hard to get a drink if you were turk. He kept his gaze upon Akira for a moment, before snapping out of the gaze.*

I'll see what I can do about making you a Turk, Akira. Unless you have any other reason for me to stay, I'm probably going to see what Rude and Elena are doing.

Elena? I remember her, pretty thing followed Tseng arround? I didn't know she made turk ranks, Thought she was still just an aid cause they haven't had need of a replacement yet?" She looked him over, nice enough guy, nice looking as well, but for now she wasn' intersted in men, after being tramatised by Hojo, she needed a break.

(elena doesn't make turks till after the destruction of the one section of midgar cause Reno got beat up by cloud tiffa and berret)

OOC:

Never said anything about Elena being in the turks, just said wanted to see what she and Rude were doing.

Ic:

Yea, she follows us around like a lovesick puppy, it's quite sad Tseng really does not realize the world going on around him. Anyways, I'll see you later Miss Akira.

*And with that, Traust was off, off to visit the turks that really did not approve of him. Shinra was good for women, but not for becoming friends with guys. Traust realized he didn't hate Shinra now, only disliked it.*

She watched him go and sat back munching energy bars figuring he'd either be back or not, either way, looked like whatever he had planned about asking her to tag along was over. Guys were fickle some days.

*Well, it did not take long for him to return. He walked over to her once again, looking down.*

Rudes just getting drunk off his ass... *sigh* Life aint too fun for a turk, so whatcha wanna do?

Akira looked up and blinked finishing her food and drink "Dunno, nothing better to do till I hear if I got transfered or not."

*He smiled to her, it seemed it was up to him to decide what to do. Very well, he'd treat her to more than just some snacks. After all, he did have to throw her into a jail cell.*

Come on, lets go to the gift shop!

She nods and follows him her cash was still in her locker in the gym level. She walked down to the elevevator then down to the lower levels and the gift shop.

*The two quickly made into the gift shop, having his gil in his pocket, he walked up to the cashier, turning around as he looked towards Akira.*

So whatcha want?

Akira looked at the various items and such then spotted the nice glowing stones of materia, She always wanted one, "How about one of those? I think it would make a lovely pendant"

Materia, you're just like my sister Yuffie, you know that?

*He withdrew one hundred gil from his pocket, and placed it on the counter, as thats how much the price tag had said. He then smiled as he waited for her to take it and maybe suggest the next place.*

OOC:

Prove me wrong that Yuffie aint Reeves Niece, and I'll edit :D

Course... they never say anything about it in the game

Sirius returned to her desk, sighing as she looked at all the paperwork. It was amazing how much Rufus could produce for her to sort, send, retrieve, and copy.

She didn't mind the work as much as she made it seem. Besides Rufus being demanding of her, and showing it in an irritated voice (which lead her to believe he perceived her as stupid, but pretended to think he was just urgent about his own work), it was a decent, well paying job. Not well paying enough to get her out of Midgar, of course, but well paying enough to survive in comfort.

Sirius sat at her desk, setting down the folder she had earlier tucked under her arm. Silently her eyes scanned over everything else that cluttered the surface, producing a slight sigh from the girl. It almost made her want to stop reading all the files... But she wanted to know exactly what was going on, and perhaps even answer any questions Rufus had, or even suggest ideas and alternatives to the man. Of course, she doubted he would ever do so.

Sirius began straightening and putting the files away, doing so quickly as her job required. Once finished, a single folder remained on her desk. Quietly she sat, and began reading.

A few moments later Sirius heard the unlocking of the secure area that her and Rufus shared during the day time. She glanced upwards to see her boss entering the office.

"What are you still doing here?" he asked in his usual cold tone.

"I'm going through some files; making sure I understand everything that goes through this office."

Rufus gave a small smile of amusement. Sirius wasn't sure whether he thought her daft or was impressed. She looked back to her papers.

"So how was your date?" she asked idly, even though her and Rufus had never disclosed any personal information with each other.

Rufus

He grunted.

"The usual," he said in an annoyed voice, "Took her dancing, to the theater, had the press all over us, then I took her home. Not neccaserily in that order, but you get the idea. Just like the other 500 or such dates that my father sets me up on, just to show the public that we're nice people."

He sighed. "It wouldn't be so bad if I found a woman to date who had more intelligence and common sense than a Chocobo, not these bimbos that I'm forced to deal with. All they ever talk about is me, their mundan lives, this shit hole city, and other mindless dribble."

"Let me ask you a question, do you think it's me, be just them, or a little bit of both?" he asked her.

Sirius couldn't help but smile at the humor of it. Here she was assuming that Rufus was some big shot whore hound when he probably hadn't even slept with any of the people he 'dated'.

"Probably both. You know, some men like ignorant whores, so if you were like that it wouldn't be so bad. Of course, if you just saw females that you liked, it wouldn't be their fault, either."

Sirius looked over Rufus. He looked so frustrated, it was almost amusing. She was used to him being cold but calm all the time. This was a whole new side of her boss.

Rufus

"What do you think of me?" he asked.

She started to figit with worry.

"Don't be afraid, I'm asking for complete honesty."

She tried to voice something, but still held back.

"If you think that I'm going to take a cut from your pay check, penalize you, or even fire you I you think I don't like to answer, I'm not. I'd be a fool to let such a hard worker such as yourself slip through my fingers to some other company."

OOC: I know Reeve has parents, seen them at the room he rented for them to hang out in at the honeybee. If you peek in teh keyhole :D So who's to say they don't have relitives with Yuffie's rather excentric father. Might explain his bad temper.... Even if shinra attacked the island...

IC:

Akira Took the small piece of materia "So? I actually never had one till now. Too pricy but if you're buying then it's ok" she grinned and took the stone looking at it and wondering were to put it in. For now she afixed it with a bit of ribbon she found tucked into her pocket and put it into her hair. Were the stone glimmered with it's inner magic. She felt the rush and blinked surprised. It was quite a thing! She felt cooler, ice. Cool!

"Alright then..." she replied, sitting forward and taking a deep look at Rufus.

"You're quite handsome, however you do have a tendency of treating people like they're idiots. You're too impatient, and overall you just seem to be a cold person. I don't know how many girls that you may very well be compatable with that would actually go so far as to go out on a date, simply because of your status in life. The people of the slums naturally hate those that rule them, and thus they are instantly reguarded as slim and assumed to be corrupt."

She sat back for a moment, looking into Rufus's eyes.

"It's not fair, I know. But unless you could actually prove that you're human enough to bleed, to hurt, and feel natural emotion, most people will hate you. Some may pretend to like your company simply to try and gain power, but those aren't the type of people that you want to be around."

Rufus

"So what you are saying is surround myself with people like you?"
She blushed a little, but the lighting didn't allow him to see that.

"You basically the only person outside of the Turks that I trust. Hell, your more trustworthy to me in the short amount of time that you've been my assistant than my father ever has been to me in my life."

He then began to laugh.

"To Hell with my father's choices. I choose to do things as I please. I'll run this company the way I want to when he croaks. But for now... I'll just date whoever the Hell I damn well please."

He began to pace the room, in deep thought. The he stopped, a grin playing across his face like a Saturday picture show. "Pack your things, and close up for the night, we're going out for dinner."

"What?" Sirius asked in a tone of disbelief. "You want to take me out?"

Rufus simply nodded.

"Well... Should I dress casual or formal?" she asked in an uncertain voice.

Rufus

"It doesn't really matter to me. Your choice; if you need to change, I can take you by your house."

Since Rufus's clothes were expensive, he didn't really need to change into anything else.

So that was your first materia? Well, Ice is a good first materia.

*Traust himself got the best materia ever as his first, HP Plus. The turk looked around, there had to be something else he could do with Akira, but what would she like? Suddenly, it occured to him.*

Hey Akira, you wanna get revenge on Hojo?

Her eyes glitter and she smiles "Yes, I want nothing more than revenge on that freak!"

Good! Then come with me!

*He took her by the hand, and ran out of the shop, making it to the lab rather quickly. The plan was now sent into action...

Several minutes later, Hojo was looking at that tube thing (Where Aeris and Red XIII got it on :D), and Akira was behind some crates with Traust.*

Alright, here you go, use this materia when I say so...

*Traust handed her a red masteria, this would provide Hojo with a shove he needed to enter that damn tube. Traust quickly ran over to some buttons quietly. The summon materia Akira had in her hands was the infamous Choco/Mog materia.*
