First Album You Ever Bought

I think it was either Grand Funk Railroad's "Grand Funk" or Deep Purple's "Machine Head".

"Smooooooooooke on the waaaaaaaaaaaaaater...."

I didn't by many until my older bother moved out, I just played his. I think my first was Neal Young.

Which I gave to my grandparents for Christmas. I was 11, I think.
That doesn't count. What's the first one you bought for you?

And I must have been old at 17. That was the second TJB album I bought. I already had Going Places.

The Eagles Hotel California

I think I was like 13 or 14 at the time.

Revolver...when it came out...I was 9...still have it...in MONO by the way

Don McLean's "American Pie"... wait, that was on 8-Track

Kenny Roger's "The Gambler"

My mother worked for a radio station, we got all the cool stuff, almost before it was released. Meet the Beatles was my first album...

Take me back :rose:

Herb Alpert's Whipped Cream was my brother's torture album to me! I love it now but back in the day....

Scatched and warped and I wish I'd had the forethought to keep mine *sigh*

You just made the OK Guy List.

Heh. I still have the original vinyl copies of both.
My friend lost her sister at a Foghat concert. Foghat found her and took her on tour with them. Her mom was maaaaaad.
Rut Roh Shaggy!

I still have my parents' copy of that one, too. Fun album. Not any folks are aware that Herb Alpert is the "A" in A&M Records.

Do you know who the "M" is in A & M (without looking it up, of course)? ;)
