Soon I'll have to buy a new bottle of lubricant, as our astroglide is almost over. I prefer water lubricants. This time I'd like to buy some flavored lubricant, or the warming one? Any suggestions? Have you tried any and did or did not like? Any recommendation?

We had some strawberry lube made by doc johnson and it taste very good....I still prefer my SO's natural taste better. I also tried some of the KY Warming liquid and did not like it. The warming sensation was very weak and it wasn't an effective lube...in my opinion.

I also had some of the strawberry stuff and it got really sticky. Tried some mentholly stuff that was very irritating. The warming lube can be nice on a cold, winter's night.

You could always get pillow/sample packs of a bunch of different lubes that look good, so you can try and find what you really like before you invest in larger bottles.

where can I get sample lubes?

I normally buy Wet. I tend to really like the watermelon flavor. It tastes just like a jolly rancher.

You can get the sample-sized pillow packs at just about any retailer that sells lubes, toys, condoms, etc. Google 'lubes pillow' or 'flavor lube sample' and similar, then comparison shop. You'll likely get the best deal online, and they usually run about $1 per pillow. It's a good idea with the flavored and warming because a lot of them taste vile or are irritating. I'd be likely to go with cinnamon or mint or some other flavor that's tougher to screw up than fruit, but I also find fake fruit flavors disgusting in general. The thought of watermelon anything is enough to make me want to vomit.

My lover and I tried the warming lube, and he did not like it at all. Seems like a pillow pack would be the way to go. See what you like before you end up with a big bottle of something that's not pleasurable.

Of course there's always good 'ol KY or your fav lube and just add neat stuff to it .... chocolate syrup, honey (yuk and have plastic sheets for the bed), jam (unless you're in the sack with Erika), egg whites (gag - but as effective as KY ), flavored liqueurs ... be inventive.

Just remember that depending where it ends up it MAY adversely affect her natural PH balance and make her more prone to a yeast infection or wurst (ha) so as long as she cleans up well afterwards just about anything can be fun.

Be careful of GINGER and mucous membranes. :D It is to "warming gel" what rocket fuel is to twigs.

Erika likes real fruit just fine; it's the fake fruit flavors and smells that get her. :p

KY is a lousy lube, and all it takes is a little bit of sugar to feed the yeast or throw off the ph. Ick.

Eggwhite is actually great for conceiving, as it minicks the natural cervical fluid women produce when they're ovualting and won't kill/impede sperm like 99% of the other lubes. When trying to conceive, it's either that, or a very expensive lube that's guaranteed to be sperm-friendly. If we need lube then, I'll definitely go with the eggwhite over the ProSeed.

check for glycerin, which is seen more in the flavored lubes than un-flavored. it increases chances of yeast infections in women because it provides usable sugars for yeast.

The health food stores sell essential oils used for aroma therapy, cooking, perfume making, etc., which can also be used to flavor lubes. Decant a small amount of lube into a container and add a few drops of orange, lime, peppermint or other oil. A shot glass or small bottle works fine. Mix well and try them out. Since you are contaminating the lube by adding another substance and that'll change it's "purity", throw away what you didn't use that time. Be sure to use essential oils that are edible and not those that are merely "scented oils". Warning: clove, ginger and cinnamon oils are very strong and can burn sensitive areas if applied over generously.

What do you use as the base? I use safflower oil and mix in essentials for massage, but as a strictly intimate lube that might not be a good idea.

I've tried it with lubes that were "unflavored" and had no taste at all. I can't remember the name and the "toy box" is upstairs.
