Hypothetically speaking - if one purchased a dozen eggs at Christmas time, and they were still in the fridge, would those hypothetical eggs still be good to eat?

I have a question in the same vein...I have an unopened carton of buttermilk that had an expiration date of May 25th...I wonder if I can still use it for baking tomorrow? How the hell do you tell if buttermilk goes bad...it tastes crappy to begin with!

It should be fine.

In fact, I'd be shocked if it wasn't.

ewww, Legenda!

Collette, I want that pan!
It's available on the Lit pass-around-a-pan program. ;)
Adorable!! The absolute perfect pan for him to get you. Oh and the cupcakes you made...SO freaking cute!!
Thank you! I'll post the photo of them here, too. My son just kept giggling the whole time I was trying to explain what they were.

omg Collette.

what is in that?? they look yummy!
I made those as a surprise for my son. The cupcakes have piped icing as the spaghetti, a Ferrero Rocher hazelnut chocolate as the meatball, strawberry preserves for sauce, and I shaved white chocolate for the parmesan. Very easy and a lot of fun to do!
